A caravan moves into Ye, a powerful lord covered in armour at their head, bearing a blue flag with black letters upon it. It is the Xiongnu with their King Daheo. Behind Daheo are some 3000 cavalry, nearly the entire division from Bei Ping. The army moves rapidly through northern Ye, yet slows as they reach its center and capital. A messenger is sent south to the capital, his goal to speak with the Duke of Yan. The messenger finds it easy to enter Ye and make his way carefully about the city, eventually finding the palace he sought for. He gave what protection he had to the guards at the gates and then spoke of a Xiongnu army, and that he had a messenger from King Daheo himself. (I'll assume, to save time) The messenger is allowed in and given time to speak with the Duke, who he bows when meeting. "Lord Ren, I have news from my King Daheo of Xiongnu. He has come south to rid the land of Zhao. Ye is a fine piece of land, and truly a profitable section of China.. To be blunt, if you are not with King Daheo's wishes then you shall be killed without question, for the better of China. My' lords wishes be so:" "Ally against Zhao" "Ally not for land, but for the people" "Ally against corruption" "Ally to unify the lands, and you will be promised a more land in the future" "What say you, oh wise Duke of Yan?"

Qimang listened quietly to the messenger, nodding and feigning care. He really did despise barbarians. There was a reason he had spent ten years of his life fighting the savages. However, Zhao was failing. Ren had made his decision; however, this situation called for delicate words. He nodded to his brother, who was seated to his right. Haozi leaned over and whispered in Qimang's ear. The Duke smiled. Whatever had been said clearly pleased him.
"In the past, the King of Yue intended to attack Qi. However, he was persuaded by Qi to attack Chu, and in doing so lost his kingdom. I am in a similar situation. I have recieved orders from both sides, each demanding that I attack the other. Regardless of the side I choose, I shall still be weaker than my opponent, for my forces have been decimated by the loss of most of my former territory," Qimang replied, taking care not to mention that these losses were brought about, in part, from the Xiongnu, "What more, I am neighbors with both of you, while both your king and Zhao are a distance apart. Of course, whomever I abandon will attack me before dealing with their opponent, You must understand my position. In light of this situation, I propose a counteroffer: I shall remain neutral in your fight against Zhao, so that my forces may be replenished. If you win your initial engagement against the Empire, I shall aid you in further conflicts. You must understand, at this moment my aid would hardly tip the scale of war, so it would benefit us both if I was given the opportunity to allow for a more decisive involvement."

Among the administrators and the helpers inside the Duke of Yan's court, a single robed and armored man stood somewhat out. His face was covered by cloths, loosely bound to allow breathing, with a stern look set upon his features.
He stood solemnly at the gate, the only man with a weapon upon his persona that was not a guard. The Jade Naginta in his right hand, his left was brought to his chest, two fingers upwards, pointing to the heavans, as the man's eyes began to close. Muffled mantra's could be heard exuding from the swath of cloths, and soon, the man's hand dropped again, the warriors eye's opening.
He shifted position somewhat, the armor rustling slightly. He looked aggrevatedly towards the Xiognu messanger, and then to Gongsun Ren, both men obviously powerful in their positions, but both out of place. Duke Yan did not deserve Nei Bei, but lord Aspharr had left no heirs, for he had no wife outside of the occasional times with Inphyy, so the Shimazu line's dominance in China ended when he had the stroke at a younger age than normal.
Ge Hong did not dispute Lord Ren's dominance. Lu Qui had fallen, also prematurely, than he should have, but he obviously did not possess the spirit to hold up against the torrents. Therefore, for the good of the realm, Ge Hong had supported Gongsun Ren after Aspharr's death, pledging the Shaolin order to him. When the Temple Knights fell, so did Ge Hong's spiritual position, but it did not phaze him. He continued to serve in Nei Bei, and would continue to serve, until he heard what his lord had just spoke.
Almost startillingly, he rushed forward, naginta grasped firmly, and he stopped, saying a small prayer, and stood besides the Xiognu messanger, who wasn't expecting an interloper in their conversation.
Lord Ren, you must regress. I know neutrality at this time would seem to benefit us, but we must not fall into innaction. I dare-say, going against Zhao now would be the best plan of action.
To assist, I will leave my head Monk, and my Shaolin warriors to be used by you. They are crack troops. Please, lord Ren, do what you know to be right.
I apologize for interrupting your conversation, but if you plan on innaction, I must leave. I will keep my bargain, however, in the form of 150 Shaolin Warriors; 100 of the Eastern Blade, 50 of the Chu Ko Nu. Use them effectively. I'll have them delivered.
I take my leave, if you have no objections, on this matter... I must see the Emperor.

Before replying, Ren decided to listen to the messenger and observe his reactions to both his and his monk's answers.

*Rikko walks in and looks around for a few. Looking over to the right he sees a wall he can lean onto and act like he is cool even though he already looks cool.*

Qimang looked at the newcomer rather scornfully.
"Who are you, who intrudes so disrespectfully into my hall?" he called out. Not even an introduction.

*Eyes looked down and hands rose up. Now his sight was on his hand and he moved his arm around looking at the blades that he has around his arm. Rising head and eyes directed at this an who seems to be yelling he simple just leaned back onto the wall not saying a word.*

"Guards, how did this man get in here? More importantly, how did he get in here armed?" Qimang the addressed the stranger once more, "If you refuse to speak and disarm yourself, leave these halls."

*He jumped off the wall and walked up to the man once again who was yelling. Rikko really did not like the yelling that man was doing and maybe now he can shut him up. Just a few feet away he gazes at this ruler in front of him.*
"The names Rikko, and I came from a land that you dont need to worry about. Why I am here is to make a living. I will even kill 100s of me just for 1 golden coin. Whatever it takes for me to get by. Now you know my name and a lil something about myself so why dont you tell me something about you then."

Such impudence. Even this Xiangnu has more respect that him...thought Qimang, "I am Gongsun Ren, Duke of Yan. I can tel that you are not from here, even without you saying so. Were you, you would have known that you are to disarm yourself before entering, and that you are to show respect to your superiors. Now, move away from me. Have you no knowledge of protocol whatsoever?"

The monk shook his head. The newcomer was supposed to wait for him, not interrupt in public affairs. The monk immediately gripped the naginta he wore, the chain around his midsection rattling slightly. He turned immediately to the man now standing there, who's wrists were gauntleted with two long blade. He pointed the Jade blade towards the man.
YOU! HOW DARE YOU? Leave this palace, NOW! You shall wait until AFTER I am done with this state business, or I will behead you where you stand! GO OUTSIDE. We will meet after! DO NOT DISHONOR ME WITH YOUR IGNORANCE!
The Monk's eyes were furious. The retina's were bulging with intensity, and the aura of destruction was literally pouring off of the man. He breathed heavily, the weapon wavering a little in the air, as his grip strengthened and released in intervals. His arm muscles tightened, ready to strike the man down, if he did not leave this place right now.
((Vash, stop being retarded.))

*Stepping back and lowering his head as respect to Ren. He nods his head as he was told to get out of his way. He know why the man was treating him like this but thats not important. Rikko rose back up and looked at the man with his red firing eyes then he shuts them. Under his mask he was smiling and anyone could tell those are smiling eyes. Then out of no where and not even paying attention another man.*
"...."
*Whole body turned and battle stace was ready for an fight right then. He looked at the man and relaxed his body. He was already suppose to be leaving but now he is being slowed down by some monk warrior. He already gained his respect from Ren and he dont want to lose that so he walks passed the monk without a word being said. Out the doors and at a place where guards will not tell Rikko to disarm his self.*

Qimang sighed. He called over an attendant.
"Go outside and inform that man that, if he wishes to reenter, he is to remove his weapons and stand no less than twenty paces from my seat."

The Xiongnu is not troubled by the conversation, he himself seeing men being slain by his King in the courts in Bei Ping. He shrugged it off, bowing slightly to the Duke while closing his eyes, he opens them again, his target the two upon the throne. He seems to look past them for no more than a second, which seems like ages. Finally, after realizing what his lord would want in such a situation, he speaks and then prepares to leave.
"There are several tribes that will follow the King, simply because he is the King. He has a brother in the west who had united an army of Qiang and Mongols, his numbers grand. To serve in the coalition you will be rewarded with blood, but also with the hopes and thanks of the people of China, one day in the future. Our cultures are one, and all in the former Zhao lands could be called Chinese.. The crimes committed by Zhao have hurt not just those of Xiongnu, but all. Whether you were fighting for them before or not, if you are blind in these times then you will be blinded forever. My lord will be pleased that you provide no opposition against him, but he will not be so happy with your current decision. He will most likely withdraw. Are you sure, that you want to support neutrality, and support this hell that China has become?"
