*Kong Fa Xu arrives out of the midday sun, riding north into Ye from the Middle Kingdom, his rather sizable retinue in tow behind him. He arrives at the gates and dismounts, handing his horse, upon which both of his weapons are still sheathed, to a lieutenant, who takes it and rides back to rejoin the retinue, which has set up a very temporary camp off to the side of the main road, well away from traffic, but close enough to be called upon easily. Entering the city with the bustle of normal traffic, the proud man walks slowly through the city, taking in the wonders of art and architecture that the northern lands have to offer. His bearing is erect, and he is broad in the shoulder, much like his father, and his grandfather before him. Long, brown hair tied up by a rather normal-looking riding cap, his blue eyes scanned the busy, crowded marketplaces and factories of the great city. Things seem to be in fairly good shape here. Hopefully I haven't been wrong in my appraisal of the man who runs the show.... Fa Xu makes his way to the palace, a piece of paper grasped firmly in his hand. Upon arriving at the palace, Fa Xu presents the letter to the guards, who let him pass after a quick search for weapons, which yields nothing considered deadly (unless you happen to be Fa Xu's wife ), and give him a two-guard escort to make certain of Fa Xu's intended destination. They arrive at the throne room in short order, where Fa Xu bows low before announcing himself.* My lord Gonsun Ren, I have arrived as requested in your letter. I have been travelling for quite some time now, and was surprised your messenger managed to find me. He should be rewarded well for the time and effort he must have expended. I must be honest with you, however. I'm not entirely certain as to why I have been asked here. The letter I received was straightforward, but also not of your own hand, but of one of your ministers' instead, and I've rarely put stock in a minister's words, as they are generally far too honey-coated for my tastes. I would, however, like to hear what you yourself have to say. Provided, of course, that a response suits you.*Bowing once more, Kong awaits a reply.* ((Sorry for the g-modding. If anything doesn't gel, lemme know via PM and I'll fix it.))

An IntroZhu Liao walked into the audience hall, the guards parting to allow him through. Zhu Liao did not go through though, he just looked at the guards. "I heard you let an armed man in the hall..." He stpped up to one man a gripped the cloth part of his uniform enar the neck. "HOW COULD YOU FOOLS BE SO STUPID?!? HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO WALK RIGHT BETWEEN YOU!" He slammed the man into the wall and entered the room. Zhu Liao was not a man that you would say had a short fuse. He didnt have a fuse. As he entered the hall he saw two men speaking with Ren. He walked right up and took his place at the right side of the throne. He leaned in just slightly and spoke to his liege. "My lord, I must ask about your plans with the barbarians from the north. After these two have been dealt with." Liao nodded his head off in the direction of the two newcomers. (Oops, missed this. @_@) Qimang nodded to his general. "Such affairs are best discussed in private. We shall discuss this at council. Thank you for your concern, General." *Kong Fa Xu arrives out of the midday sun, riding north into Ye from the Middle Kingdom, his rather sizable retinue in tow behind him. However, this is merely because his gift is the pen, while mine is the sword. I can assure you that those were my sentiments espressed through him. As for the messenger...indeed, he sall be rewarded for this boon," he said, clearly pleased, "Kong, you must understand, the empire your grandfather helped to build is falling apart. As my brother wrote to you, barbarians and chaos are taking control. As a former servant of the empire, I cannot sit idly by while this happens. Unfortunately, the Zhao empire itself is waning, and I hear that it is ruled by an imposter. Therefore, I seek to purge the land of corruption, both internal and external, and to set up a dynastic government that will last one thousand years. Who better to aid me in this quest than the heir to a man who achieved half of this task during the fall of the Han?" (Rofl-frickin'-mao! XD)

*Fa Xu listened in silence, nodding occasionally, smiling at the mention of his prodigiously talented grandfather.*
Lord Ren, much of what you speak is the truth. The Zhao is in it's final throes. I myself served it for several years, at the behest of my father. However, the current Emperor is a shadow of the greatness that the Emperor of old was. I myself have suffered the sting of his ill-earned rebukes, and have had enough. Besides, a general's talents are wasted under a man who does not allow him to use them. The Emperor apparently found my form.... pleasing to his eye, and so I had rarely been allowed outside of the capital. I do hope I'd be allowed to flex my command muscles, if you will, should I join your quickly growing force? My father, and grandfather before him, were each outstanding commanders, and I aim to follow in their footsteps.

"Kong, if you pledge yourself to Yan, I can promise you that your talents would not be wasted. You shall be given a position among my generals and employed as such." replied Qimang.

*Fa Xu bowed low.*
I would be honored to receive a post in your administration. The only thing you need do is point me in the direction, and I'll take care of the rest, my lord.
*Fa Xu put some extra emphasis on those final two words, making it abundantly clear that his fortunes now hinged upon the might of not only himself, but on the rest of Yan as well.*

Let Us Go
Zhu Liao walked down from his place beside the throne. He stopped just infront of the man.
"If you are truly in this for our army then help us. We shall be marching soon, if you have no problems my Liege," the Grand Commander looked back to his superiour, "Then come with the army. I ready my men now." Liao turned, bowed low, then wlaked out the throne room.

Gladly, general. My men will be ready within the hour.
*Fa Xu bowed once last time to the Duke.*
My lord, I take my leave now, and you'll not hear from me again unless it is to proclaim victory.[/color]

Post by Du Yu on Sept 25, 2006 17:09:40 GMT -5
Du Yu had had no luck with Rome. He had decided, already, when he had enroled to be Voluntary forces commander, that what he really wanted to serve was a Chinese Originated force. Yu would prefer someone of his own origin to serve, instead of the Romans. After all, it WAS his choice. The Kingdom he head heard of recently by a group of passing farmers, while traveling back from ChengDu was Yan. He had even gone far enough to dismount his horse, and enquire about the kingdom. The farmers were frightened, and glanced down at his sword. Du told them he meant no harm, and the two helpful villagers told him all they know of the kingdom. He had caught that he was in Ye, building up his forces. This would be a prefect chance to prove himself, since he knew he was born to be on the battlefield.
[yellow]He had the whole of his 1000 men with him, since they had no where else to stay. They had devoted their lives to Yu, and he wasn't just going to let them down. Ye was drawing ever so closer, and the tension began to rise. You could cut through the air with a swift motion. Yu's army were all muddy, from the long trek. It had been raining earlier, really hard. As soon as the first few drops, the men ran for cover. They had found a set of lots of huge caves, and they were fine.[/yellow]
Back to the present time, Ye was in view now. The recent rainfall had left huge puddles, and muddy patches. He told his men to find dry land to sit on, and wait.
[red]Two of his highest officers decided to occompany him, incase anything should go wrong, which was very unlikely. Each man road a jet black horse, decorate with bright jewls on the reigns. Nearing the gate, Du Yu signals for his men to stop. He'd have to go the rest alone.[/red]
The short ride to the gates alone was refreshing. Being in a open area, a nice breeze blew around Yu, and his horse was enjoying it as well. Du Yu smiled at the way his horse was walking, because it looked high, with all the swaying it was doing.
Du Yu rose up to the gate. It seemed that it was heavily guarded. View fromthe ground was restricting. The guards at the towering gate were staring at Du, and he was very nervous.
From about 10 meters away from the silent guards, Du Yu says:
' Guards, I wish to speak with the Duke of Yan, for I wish to join him. Here is my weapon, if you will accept me and let me enter these walls.'
With his two hands extended, Du Yu preys that the solemn guards will let him seek sanctuary.

The guards nod and lead Du into the audience hall. Gongsun Ren was in high spirits, for he had recently acquired a number of talented officers, and he looked on the newcomer with a smile.
"Ah, welcome to Yan, Du xiansheng. I trust your trip was enjoyable. I am Gongsun Ren."

Du Yu, please over the nice welcome, bows his head.
[yellow]' Yes, It was enjoyable, not for my men though.' Du Yu grins at Gongsun Ren. 'And I am very pleased to meet one such as you, my Lord. I have come here to join you. I tried to join Rome earlier, but got cold feet. I would enjoy serving a force of my own origin, if you know what I mean. I heard of your force by passing villagers. I got off my steed and asked them to tell me more about this great kingdom of Yan, which has a bright future. I have a 1000 men waiting not far away from the gate, and they are quite dedicated. I am sure they will make a great adition to your army, and so will I.'[/yellow]

"I'm sure you will. Welcome to Yan."

Du Yu couldn't contain a huge smile.
' Thank you very much, Lord Gongsun Ren! I shall serve you to the best of my abilities. I will wander around the city, doign any odd jobs, and familiarize myself with the turrain. Thank you again'
Xiansheng bowed, and walked out of the palace, the huge smile plastered to his face for many hours to come.

Don't Ask For The Translation Of This Song, If You Value Your Ear's Virginity...
Saugt meinen Hahn, leckt meine Bälle, fickt mich auf den Esel, Sie Arschloch, Huren und Schlampen.
Weibchen, geht, asswipe meine Zehen, fühlt meine Zehennagelgrabung in Ihr Arschloch...
In und Aus, In und Aus, In und Aus!
In und Aus, (Tiefer)! In und Aus, (Weiter)! In und Aus! (Härter)!
Hung Dat sorta sighed, as he listened to their leader. Really now, was he more immature than HE was? Then again, there was always crude humor afoot, always to lighten the mood, especially in the dark times, in bondage, when they were still in the lowly servitude of the Romans. However, the way in which the vulgar words bounced around in the streets, seemed strangely calming...
Inside Shika's mind, he was quaking with fear. He was nervous. Really nervous. His singing didn't seem to help him, despite the fact that he was putting much passion into it, sometimes even thrusting his pelvis, or launching up his fist into a ball, flexing his arm, and nodding and winking at the passing-by Chinese women on the streets.
In und Aus, In und Aus, In und Aus!
But it stopped suddenly, as they stopped at the doors, their foot steps stopped, looking at the guards before the palace doors. It was huge to them... never, ssave in the Roman cities, before they were trafficked here, had they seen something of such magnificience. Nodding at the guards... Shika held out his parchment scroll, an air of confidence, contrary to what he felt inside.
Hung Dat nodded as well, a little more timidly. "We're here to see Gongsun Ren, upon the Lord's brother's request.."
