Sailors are just like marines. Marines in this game are troops that are trained soldiers that are particularly excellent in river and naval combat, though otherwise stronger than militia and barbarian mercenaries too. Storm troops might be implemented, Gao Shun used them too.
Edit-Wait...Gao Shun used shock troops. Oh well same thing. I might add them. I'll probably put in Amazons too for female warriors.

Yes, put Amazons in the game. I'll have an elite bodyguard unit made up of Amazons.

Quick thought, as of this point, it does not seem that there are real distinctions between the cities in terms of size and historical importance affecting the numbers: in other words, Ye seems to be the equivalent of Ling Ling. I was curious as to whether or not there were plans to take cities like Ye or Xu Chang, or Jian Ye, or Cheng Du or Chang An, the cities that were larger and more developed at the time and either add more possible development or start them with some development already in place to distinguish them from the other cities.
If nothing else, it could provide people with a city to shoot for, since, from what I've seen in the games at least, the larger, more prominent kingdoms either centered around one of the larger cities or moved to acquire one.

I guess shock/storm troops will just be another upgrade of militia, since militia are pretty much half of most people's armies in the game. Basically they will be slightly better than marines, and only the militia that performed the best in battle can turn into shock or storm troops. Shock troops will specialize in defense and storm in offense. Otherwise they will be the same price and all that. They won't be specialized units; they'll be equally proficient with all items. I thought of that, but then I figured that if I made certain cities better it would be unfair to the current factions of the game since some would start out near better cities than others. Maybe I will add one good city adjacent to each kingdom in the game. They will be hard to capture but start out with slightly better (500 instead of 300 and 100 for gate instead of 0) stats. Edit-Nah on the city thing. People have the opportunity to make their starting points or other areas as great as they want. I'm not going to make certain cities better than others. That will be up to the players.

I suggest a cap on kingdoms. I do believe the Sassinad and Roman kingdoms are getting to big, while other kingdoms are getting to small. Some have members, but those members are inactive. Just an idea.
Also, people should not get money on inactive members.

I completely agree with that. Rome has something in the neighborhood of 11 or 12 people at the moment, and at least two more that I know of who will more than likely try to join up.

Yeah... Meanwhile, others (like myself, Erik, and Phoenix) Are getting the shit end of the stick, although we are trying to stay in the historically contexted realm. Perhaps, those kingdoms, should take it upon themselves to STOP accepting members. Lyle did it in Shu, and it didn't effect the game much, it actually evened out the kingdoms.

How exactly may I ask do people get money on inactive members? The rest of what you said is fine and dandy but in my opinion it should be up to the rulers, who should maybe do what Justin said but don't have too. Anyways, anybody of those kingdoms that have less people can invite some more to help them...

Yea We can't really control people's actions >.> Well My thought for the other kingdoms is too advertise, invite friends to personally join kingdoms etc. and if you feel your kingdom is too big invite friends and tell them to join another kingdom like Cheng or Wako

According to Steve (Caesar) he has a list of 183 people he can invite...Even if they don't remain active - if he invites them back during battles? It'd be a fuckin' swarm of Romans. I say there should be a cap on Rome here and now (After Suzakau and Cao Xer join them) and the Sassanid once they are even with Rome until the other kingdoms can catch up. Cause at this rate - Rome will gain enough officers to sweep over the land and even if they lose generals they'd have enough to make up for it (More as Steve said for every general we (The Sassanid) gain he'd get two more...)

That's a lot of generals. Then do as they did during the Samurai war, and the early stages of Troy. Ambushes and Midnight Raids. You cut his supplies and his troop count out from under him then what is he left with? 102 generals? Who are only active during battle. Start rallying Places under you..not invading. You have to have a guy with a charm near 100. Send him. Saves and gains men.
That's just a thought on how to help your cause...
