Wei Yan walked across the soft gentle meadow. Not a tree to be seen, only ankle high swaying green grass. From the jaw of his mask a stern expression could be made out. Sighing lightly he twirled "Sinner" about his body, the double bladed glaive seemed to cascade in the air, light as a feather.
"Prove...Self..." he told himself harshly as he spun his entire body in a leap and brought down a blade of the glaive harshly through the air. Shaking his head he felt more relaxed after the action.
Nothing was to be hidden on himself. Only "Sinner" was seen, for that was all he carried. His eyes searched the landscape looking for someone, anyone to prove himself to. He had no allegiance and had seen no one worthy of his own and thought that no one had seen worth in him. He was here to prove himself to be an asset or an enemy to be feared to whoever would rise to meet his sin.

In a few moments, Wei Yan faced a general from the Roman empire, who grasped his longsword firmly, his body filled with the anxiety of a fight. The man he now faced seemed to be as strong as the blade of the spear he was holding. He would surelly have something to remember from the fight, once it was over.
You have a nice spear there, my friend.
Said Valius, his obsidian blade resting on his side as he prepared himself, this should be a duel to remember. The weight of is body being shifted from one leg to another, he watched calmly the other man, while himself simply relaxed his muscles, the blade seemed to swinging back and front.

Wei Yan smiled for a short moment before twirling the double glaive about his body. His eyes never left his opponent. Constantly moving up and down him, watching everything.
"We...Go!!" he commanded harshly.
With the word "go" Yan was off and in full bloodthirst. With a simple jump he spun his body fully, bringing the back blade around first across the man's forehead, the fore blade came around last across the man's abdomin, each slash from the man's left side to his right.
When Yan landed his feet were already moving again, for his strong build he was quick. Jutting to the right he hopped onto his left hand and spun his legs around towards the man, aiming for the back of his knees. When he came full circle he landed in a low stance and brought the back blade of the glaive up towards the man's right side.

He watched with interest as the other began his move, himself being standing still for a time longer. The air seemed to become heavier as the two had began to fight, the heavens seemed to be watching the battle, for nothing else moved, just the air, that blew silently and calmly, blowing Valius' hair backwards. He finally decided to act, when the other combatant had jumped into the air, he shifted his body weight from the right leg, which was in the front, to the left one, where he could lean his body backwards, bringing his sword upwards in a fast movement, he stopped the attack, which had a high possibility of hitting.
Valius was the type of person who would think before he acted, and so he began to form a plan of action in his mind, taking in all kind of possibilities. Meanwhile, in the outside of his mind, he forced his way back up from his position, with his sword still meeting the metal of the stronger man's spear.
Valius used his own body to repel the other from the attack, while himself began to move diagonally, around his opponent, once he began moving, his sword went into the direction of the other's body, more specifically, his torso, a strike on his abdomen.
I need gain time...
He thought, he knew the other had the body to win that fight, but he just wondered how long could the man endure it}

Wei Yan didn't bring the glaive blade around to catch the sword, instead he sent a firm brace straight into the blade, along with the rest of his body weight as he followed through with a lung infront of the man. With the lung he brought the fore directly forward towards the man's chest.
With the lung of the blade Yan made sure to keep moving, he brought his hand that had braced the blade away onto the haft of the glaive, near the back blade. With this he pulled the blade left around about his body, in a quick twirl that seemed just as fast as a man could twirl a small sword. Yan's upper body and lightened glaive made for this speed made sure to keep it fluid with the next move.
After the blade came full circle he jumped in place with a twirl to add momentum to the falling back blade of the glaive. Yan had been quite till now. With a maddened scream he let the blade fall towards the man's left shoulder, precisely aiming for the man's collar more or less.

He ran diagonally, his attack took place not much later, and, not really for his surprise, it was easily repelled by the other general, who, instead of using his own weapon to block, a brace had been used. Valius was taken aback, his upped body went backwards, the only thing that kept him from losing balance was the fact that one of his legs was still in contact with the ground, and he was able to shift the weight he recieved on his body to it, nearly twisting it more than needed, his swords loosened from his hand for a moment, while he saw that the other combatant had began to make yet another move.
In his mind, Valius began to question the possibilities of a victory, the other one seemed too much of a challange for a new general like himself to try and take on, yet he wouldn't give up until he was killed or his heavy armor and the movements he made took the best of his conditioning. He kept himself on a moving frenzy, letting his body come back from the moment of uncertainity, he used his lifted right leg to give the initial impulse, where he began yet another dash, still moving diagonally, around the new jumping general.
An attack took place not much later, and one of the spear's blade fell down in a fast, powerful smash towards where Valius was now passing by, and to prevent a certain death from the other's blade, once he had touched the ground with his left leg, he made yet a new motion, instead of keept dashing, which would lead to a certain death, he used the leg that was on the ground to give his body stability, whilst the once resting swords came from the side of his body, where it swung, stopping with the touch of the spear's blade, and making his body arch backwards with it's power.
Now, if he was not such a stubborn man, he would simply give away the battle and would turn away to flee. But he WAS too much of a stubborn man, and wouldn't let fear take the best of him, he could make something about that, and he would. He fell to the ground, while the other's spear kept pressing towards his body. In this moment, when the chinese general had touched the ground once more, Valius took his chance and a leg flew towards the general's suppoting one.(If something is wrong or if I misunderstood anything, please let me know, I'm still learning ^^'. Lol, I know this post is confusing, but I wanted to point out Wei Yan's strength...he's me favorite char )

Wei Yan focused his strength into the spear and was caught slightly off gaurd with the kick to the leg. His leg was sent into the air as to try and keep balance and when he saw that the man was still aiming to trip him he stomped firmly with the foot that had been knocked off balance.
With that being done he had the man where he wanted him. Now was death or surrender and Yan was happy with both. Jumping up just enough to get both feet off the ground he brought his legs together and caught the man's leg. Still pressing down with one blade of the glaive a smirk showed through from below his mask.
"You...Choose..." Yan stated sternly motion back to the back blade that he could have easily brought up below the man's longsword and knocked him defenseless.
((Don't worry. We all need to learn so it's good you are trying, and yeah Yan and Guan Yu are my favorites! You haven't lost yet unless you can't see a way out. lol))

Hmpf...he's got me...or so he believes.Thought Valius, looking as the other jumped into the air once more, Valius had began to pull his leg away, now that he had failed, there was no point on keeping it in the enemie's acting space, the other one make contact with the ground once more, and then Julius Valius had seen what was his purpose, he had locked his leg, for it was still on his acting space, he wasn't quick enough. The possibilities were more and more against him than he would have calculated, and yet, he wouldn't give up. Maybe the fight DID take the best of him, and now he was only a boy with a toy believing to be better than he actually was.
But then again, he did have a few tricks on the sleeve, and so he began to make his own move, he still holded his trustable blade, afterall. Every muscle on his body seemed more tense than they actually were, and himself was much more fatigued than he'd believe to be. Heavily breathing, he kept himself fighting back the spear that now threatened him more than it ever would, and so he had a small idea. It WAS keep fighting of give up to death, and he surelly wouldn't die, not just yet.
He slow reached his sword with his other hand, and soon he was also using two hands to wield his weapon, as was the chinese general, and now he had a better chance to fight back the spear, and so he did. He was now taking little of his back from the ground, his sword taking back the spear as he began to regain his "reason" as one would say, and formed yet another battle strategy, or as he liked to call them, "little machination".
Still fight back the spear, he swiftly put aside his upper body, letting the spear thrust onto the ground, leaves flying away from the ground, others were now only half complete, for the spear destroyed everything it made contact with. Valius had to admire the man's strength, but it was not the time to distract himself off the battle, he needed to get out of that position.
He used his free leg to stomp on the man's knee, making it so that it was either take the leg back, or have it very damaged. He went from lying down to a sitting position in a matter of a second, and soon he was attempting a slash on his legs, before he turned the blade down and went for a stab on the general's right foot.(Lol. Yeah, Yu is one of the most respected generals, I believe, he is just the best and I also like Zhang Fei...the man is like a beast when fighting...too bad he was assassinated in his sleep )

Yan loved the fight his oppenent and knew that his motion was going to be hard to recover. Not searching for a way to he let his blade fall toward the ground but with the kick to the knee he knew better then to let the blade collide.
Feeling the pain in his leg start to radiate he fell to a knee and brought the glaive around just in time to see the man's blade pierce his right calf. With a bellow of rage more then pain he spun the double sided glaive and brought the back blade sternly toward the man's thigh. He no longer ment to slay this man for he had grown to admire his abilities, he ment to make the man know that each blow would be answered soundly.
(( Yeah, and Yu to be caught and beheaded like a traitor. It's a sad ending for the greats, no glory at all))

The strikes seemed to have hit, but yet he couldn't let himself be impressed with himself, he was more worried with what the chinese general had in mind than with what he could do to keep on attacking. The other man seemed to have been altered, finally, an would fight to the best of his abilities, and THAT was a main plan seemingly too stupid to consider.
The tension on his body seemed to start to exctrat much of his strength out of him, but the show needed to go on, it didn't matter to what end, the fight was TOO good to let go NOW. But yet, just the thought of letting himself go insane in a battle seemed overwhelming for himself, it could either be his glory, of his doom, but then again, this mind conflict with himself was also beginning to overwhelm him, he needed to make up his mind, let go to the fun of the duel, or control all his motions and make it just another duel he got himself into.I know I can amuse you...all you have to do is give me permition!!!The voice in the back of his head began to speak for itself, it was more than enough for a regular man to begin to question his own integrity, but he was from the noble family of the Julli, he knew better than that. And thus, something seemed to break, and a small animal was set free from his cage.
The chinese warrior had began yet another move, he saw the spear come once more, and there seemed to be nearly no way he could escape that. But, he had already fled from a life or death situation, he kept himself alive that far, once more wouldn't mean much more.
Valius, or whatever the man became, pulled the sword out of the ground, and, with a roll backwards, he managed to get away from another attack from the other general. Now, finally standing, he watched the other man, the spear, with the strength of the blow, had nearly struck the ground, and meanwhile, the roman general smirked cinically and dashed once more, yet again in a diagonal direction, he knew that the spear the man carried with him was too good of a weapon to be underestimated, as was its owner, although his leg had been nearly broken, there was no way one could know what to expect.
Valius kept his dash, the air now seemed to fail entering his lungs to a complete refreshment, his body felt heavier and heavier from the weight of the armor. The sword was the only thing he could bear to wield now, the rest seemed to exhaust him beyong comprehension, but he would give at least one last move, and last blow and then if necessary, he would die to keep his honor as a warrior. He raised his obsidian sword once more, and in a simple second, down it came, aiming for the chinese warrior's back, it would probably not enough to kill, for he admired the other one enough to spare him, but it should be enough to end a battle.(Yeah...what a fate great warriors have...like Sun Jian...the best lord, in my opinion. Oh yeah, I know that in that time, there was no one with double personality (or at least I believe there weren't) but my char is originally to be a battle freak...but he studied too much to keep up with his brother and ended up that way ^^' he completely changes when he's in the main moment of a battle...but if that's not allowed, just tell )

Wei Yan heard the man move and was far from done. With another battle mad bellow he lunged off his still good leg towards the man and brought his glaive inbetween the man's body and his weapon. With the outside blade he brought it swiftly towards the man's ribs and the back blade clashed with the sword sending it behind the now knelt Yan's back.
When the sword had cleared his back and the blade returned to his grasp Yan fell back onto his back and used his arms and hurt leg to thrust his good leg at the man's stomach. Yan brought the glaive up and around as he had intended to land on the man, so he brough the back blade before his own eyes ready to plunge it straight into the man's shoulder.
Still Yan wished not to kill the man, merely prove himself, like the duel had started.
