Sima Mao looks about, he was unsure about what to do after the fall of Sui. He had stayed out of many of the wars of China after Sui. And saw the rise of Du Jung's own Zhao. But now it was time for Mao to stop his meditations, and his debates with himself. He walked up to the doors of Xiang Yang.
The guards looked at him, they knew who he was. Sima Mao, General of Sui. They also were aware of the fall of Sui as well. Mao stood strait, coming face to face with them, showing no fear. His trident in one hand. He spun it, ever so casually.
Spinning it in his right hand, he brought it around to his left. Slowly and surely, but the guards themselves were worried, and had slowly lowered their weapons. Their were about to gut him, when he slammed the weapon back down, the black shaft connecting with rock. It left several cracks in the stone, yet the weapon itself showed no damage. Sima Mao then flipped the weapon, so that he grasped the bladed end, the handle pointing towards the guards. One took it, with an upraised eyebrow. Sima Mao smiled, and made a short bow before standing again.
"I am Sima Mao, a lordless general looking for a man to serve. I have come to assist Yuan Shu in his endevours of conquering China. Please, allow me enterence."
The guards nodded, and allowed him in, after a brisk frisk of his person. Mao walked into the main enterence way, noting all the various works of art, and the statues. He finally came to the main area. A large palace throne room. He came the approate place to stop, and did so. He made a low bow at his waist, extending his right hand skyward, and his left across his right breast. His left foot extended foreward, while his right remand in the same postion. He then stood, a humble expression on his face.
"I am Sima Mao, a former general of the now destroyed Sui. I come before you today, Yuan Yin, nephew of Yuan Shu, to offer my services. Though I am but one, I bring many men under my banner as well. And though I am not rich in wealth, I am rich in skills. Our kingdoms never fought, and thus hold no grudges against each other. Please, Lord Yuan Yin, let me serve Cheng."
And the Mao was silent. He took a moment to observe, without moving his head or eyes, many of the decour around him. He also saw the assassin looking man there as well. Another man of skills no doubt, waiting for the same thing the General was. Mao then paid heed to what Yin would say next.

*This was proving to be a fine day. Not too long serving as governor in his uncle's kingdom and already having two officers offering to join the Cheng ranks. Yuan Yin claps his hands together by the look of the newly arrived man. It was Sima Mao, one of which he had heard many stories from throughout the land. This man was surely going to be an asset, and with the help of Jin, uncle Yuan Shu would have possession of Jiao Zhi in no time. Not to mention the other cities that were yet to be conquered in the great province of Jing.*
"General Sima Mao! I feel sorry for what has happened to the kingdom you served, the kingdom of Sui. However, the leaders of that kingdom were foreigners, and those are not too adapted to the way of living here in China. Perhaps it is better this way. Anyway, in the name of my uncle and leader, Yuan Shu, I accept your offer to join the forces of Cheng. Please work in the facilities of the city, as they have not been looked after, after the battle of Wu Ling. But now that you are here, I am sure things will start to look better in the city. And after you have done that, I suggest you move with great haste to Jiao Zhi. Our lord Yuan Shu is currently battling a rebel force under the name of Zhao Yun and he wishes to subdue him, so he can work for our kingdom and at the same time, we will capture the city of Jiao Zhi."

*Outside a ruckuss can be heard, guards yelling and a stream of swearing that would shop a sailor. At last, the main doors open and Hui strides in, pushing a guard aside. She steps before the young lord and kneels, leaning on her weapon.*
I come from the jungles of the south to seek a fortune...
*she raises her eyes and smiles, her strikingly exotic looks lighting up*
and i heard you needed some help.

*An entering like Yuan Yin had never seen before... But she did look good and would certianly make Yuan Shu's staff give a better look. Yuan Yin grins, while thinking about things what they could do with her, but then his eyes fall upon the weapon of the southern lady.*
"You are looking for a fortune? Then you have come to the right place. Please make it yourself at home here in Xiang Yang and please work in the facilities of the city. And please don't be afraid you will not see fortune or action around here. Once my lord returns from Jiao Zhi, he will march against another city."

*she nods approvingly*
I'm glad you accepted. I would have hated to break you in half.
*With a smirk and a wink she turns and struts out, meaningfully shouldering one of the guards out the way.*1

Arrival of the Fierce
The day was stormy that day. The winds howled like a pack of angry wolves, and the rain pelted down like a thousand arrows. You would think no one would even be outside in this kind of weather. Yet one could see a man on a shimmering silver horse, donned in white armor. He seemed young and handsome, his black hair sopping wet in the rain. He seemed almost gentle looking, were it not for his eyes. They seemed to glow with a fiery passion. One look at this man, and you could tell he was a warrior. He rode his steed using one hand; the other was occupied, holding the hilt of a large sword that was resting on his shoulder. It was indeed heavy, but he didn't seem to notice. Behind him were his troops. They weren't happy traveling in this weather at all. But they were loyal to their master, and followed wherever he went. The mud was difficult to walk through, and it was starting to get cold. Finally, off in the distance, they spotted a castle. This had been the young man's destination: the castle of Yuan Shu. For some time now, he had worked as a mercenary, hiring out to small villages, his name never really known. But now it was time to make history. He felt the need to end the fighting, so that people would not suffer. He pointed at the castle and shouted to his men.
"Not much longer now, men! The castle is in view, and soon you will have a roof over your heads!"
The men cheered, happy to see an adequate shelter for once. They had mostly slept in small huts in villages for the past few months, and a castle looked welcoming to them. Soon, after much walking and riding, the reached the gates of the castle.
"Open the gates! I seek an audience with Lord Yuan Shu, so that I may join his army!"
The guards briefly looked at each other, then opened the gates. As the man's weary army made it's way inside, the guards confiscated their weapons as a safety precaution. However, when the came to the young man, he refused to give up his weapon.
"A warrior's life depends on his weapon. Giving up my weapon is the same as giving up my life!"
Reluctantly, the guards let him into the council chamber holding the weapon. However, he was assigned guards to make sure he did not try anything treacherous. He made his way before Yuan Shu, and addressed him, standing proud with his weapon resting on his shoulder.
"Lord Yuan Shu, I presume. I am Fei Wong. I have come a long way in order to join you and your army. I have 500 men with me, with capable fighting ability and plenty of experience. Will you accept me into your army?"

*Unfortunatly for Fei Wong, Yuan Shu had not yet returned from his campaign against Jiao Zhi and seemed to have been held up at Ling Ling. And thus his nephew Yuan Yin was still sitting on the throne of Xiang Yang. However, Yuan Yin also knew to recognize talent when it showed up before him and this Fei Wong was promising, to say the least, in Yuan Yin's eyes.*
Yuan Yin: "I am sorry to say this, but I am not Yuan Shu, noble warrior. I am his nephew Yuan Yin, who responsible for governing Xiang Yang in the absence of my uncle, the Duke of Cheng. Currently, our lord is returning from his campaign agaisnt Jiao Zhi and messages send here by his officers tell us he had some important business to take care off in Ling Ling before returning here. But I am more then happy to accept you in to Yuan Shu's Army in Yuan Shu's name. Please work at the facilities of Xiang Yang while awaiting Lord Yuan Shu's return. I'm sure he will need you and your men when he has returned here."
*Then Qui Teng steps into the throne room, carrying a paper. Yuan Yin listens to what the man has to say and a large smile appears on his face as he hears what Qui Teng has been doing. Truly, this man was invaluable to Yuan Shu's Kingdom already. With a non-aggresion pact with the Romans, the Cheng Kingdom would finally have some time of peace and time to rebuild it's forces.*
"General Qui Teng! You are indeed an asset to Lord Yuan Shu's Army. You have renderred a great service by making Julius Fabius sign such an agreement. When Lord Yuan Shu returns, I will tell him this good news and be ready to receive a gift from our lord when he returns. You have taken a heavy load off of his shoulders. In the name of the Cheng Kingdom, I thank you, General Qui Teng."

Xu Sheng had a simple yet difficult task of attempting to gain an alliance with the lord of these Regions, none other than the eseemed Yuan Shu. Xu Sheng had the ability he was sure, he knew how to speak to higher ranks, he was not arrogant, or hostile appearing and always spoke poilitly to important people.
He arrived in Xiangyang in little time, and quickly sought the inner city to find the palace of the great leader. He wandered the streets admiring the grand city, until finally he saw the figure of a tall buidlings, much like the one he had seen in Xu Chang, this was once again surrounded by Soldiers who guarded their leader, who Xu Sheng quickly went to, to hand in his weaponry.
Once inside he could hear speaking, as if guiding him to his destination, and once he had found the room, he quickly shot to his knees, and bowed his head down to the man in the throne. The speaking had stopped and allowed Xu Sheng to speak, he spoke in a calm and civil tone, hoping to win the favour of the lord from a first impression.
"Great ruler of Cheng, Lord Yuan Shu. I Bring word from Zhao in Xu Chang, our Emperor wishes us to be friends, allies, and aid each other in this growing time of chaos. We offer you an alliance, if I may cut to the chase a little. Will you of great lord of Cheng, ally with the Empire of Zhao?"
He stopped speaking, and bowed his head once more, in a sign of respect and awaited the answer from Yuan Shu, be it good news or bad.
[[Sorry for the short post, and it being similar to my application to Zhao, but I didn't copy anything, I have been feeling ill the last two days, worse today, so this is all I want to do, not really rping much.]]

Fei Wong nods to Yuan Yin, but does not bow. At first, it seems disrespectful, but one can tell he was sincere.
"I thank you, Lord Yuan Yin. You must forgive me for not bowing, for it is one of the things I simply do not do. I will carry out your orders at once!"
Fei Wong then turned around, walking the direction he came. His first day under a Lord was about to begin.

*After Fei Wong walked away, Yuan Yin turns his attention to the man coming from a different state. The State of Zhao, with a leader being a corrupt Emperor, thinking he can force the world into a new Dynasty by simply proclaiming to be an Emperor. But without the Hereditary Seal, without an offical abjucation of the current Emperor Ling and the official crowning of this Du Jung as the new Emperor of China, the Kingdom of Cheng was not going to bend it's knee to Zhao. Not as long as there was a fake Emperor sitting on the throne. But this man was not here to threaten the borders of Cheng. No, he came for much more peaceful negotiations. Talks of peace!*
"Dear servant of Zhao... I am sorry to tell you this, but I am Yuan Yin, Lord Yuan Shu's nephew and not in a position to bring Cheng in an alliance with Zhao. But I am sure my uncle will agree upon an alliance when he returns from his campaign against Si. You don't need to worry. Cheng will be friends with Zhao from now on. I will guarantee you that."

A new Age
It had been a long day, or so he recalled as he led his horse down the streets of Cheng, he had moved as but a normal citizen, coming into the city as a member of its population, for years his ancestors had helped with the construction and foundations of Cheng, but today Lao Harn Tzu would set aside his differences with his fathers final words, and help Cheng, be it diplomatic or not, it's what he felt was needed to put right the evil that surrounded the land, grasping whatever breath it could before moving on.
He had left his assistants in the old hut beyond the main palace walls; he found the area to be filled with guards and merchants, the sight was normal, everything was aligned in place and he felt a rush of truth and formality about the place.
The guards nodded to him, accepting the fact that he would be here to speak with Yuan Shu, or even his cousin Yuan Yin, who was by no means as great as Yuan Shu.
The tables laid burdened by dust as he approached the palace, houses surrounded the outer walls, yet a small table stood out, coated with a fine golden trim finish that sparkled, it was a table representing foundations of Cheng, a mere gesture of Yuan Shu to the people of Cheng, it was symbolic and held no real purpose, but the gesture was all it counted for.
He passed the steps and entered the palace, guards and generals were seen, he remembered the days where he'd of cowered and stuttered over the break in silence, but he had grown strong and wise, he merely gestured them with sharp eyes, and continued his path to the throne room.
Inside was simple, a laid out room with chairs and golden trimmed banners representing the house of Yuan Shu, with the fashionable pink banner representing his standing above the main throne, Yuan Yin was seen, and he ached to know what ran through the man's head, the land was gaining grounds, and armies were growing larger by the second.
He stood a few metres away, and dipped his head in a fashion they all knew, then he placed a simple word to Yuan Yin, "My name is Lao Harn Tzu, after the fall of Rui, my men and I left and came to Xiang Yang, this was the home of my father, and he died in these very walls, I have come to pledge my allegiance to Cheng."

*Yuan Yin smiles by seeing yet another one ready to allign himself with Cheng. Talented officers were rare in the times they were living in and by seeing this man, Yuan Yin felt they had another asset among their ranks. And by hearing his father had lived here in Xiang Yang and spent his dieing days here aswell, loyalty would not be a problem to this man either. So Yuan Yin raises from the throne and walks over to Lao Harn Tzu, still smiling kindly to the man.*
"Lao Harn Tzu from Rui, eh? Rui was full of able men, but they lacked the support from their homeland, I think. However, their academies are famous in the world and I feel you have had much benefit to their trainings. You are accepted in the Kingdom of Cheng, La Harn Tzu. Please work at one of the facilities here in Xiang Yang and, if you like, you can join Yuan Shu at the grand banquet organized by Jiang Wei. It is a feast, as the campaigns to the south have been very succesful."

A man of Passion
Lao Harn Tzu chuckled at the words, a member of Rui, no, not quite. He had left Rui twice and joined only to help his friends, but now it was time to move on from a foreign empire, and to unite the land under a banner of Cheng, a stable formality that Lao Harn Tzu respected.
"I'll take that offer Yuan Yin." He said with yet another bow, "I'll visit the Banquet, and see the glories that await me there, I thank you yet again sir, for giving me the honour and privilege of joining you."
He smiled, and spun on his heel, the guards nodded to him respectfully, now he was a Cheng Warrior, he'd make sure not make a fool of himself at the Banquet, him and wine was no mix for a friendship.
((crap post, but what the hell))
