*It was only a few days after the forming of the Xia Kingdom and already the armies, accompanied with the typical white banners, were marching to expand the borders of the young kingdom. Many other kingdoms were formed throughout China, but none of them were able to match the power of the Xia Kingdom. But for now, no real powerful moves could be made by the kingdom, as the armies were still small and unexperienced. Not to mention the Fake Zhao Empire had yet to dissolve itself. And after that, the land was up for the grab for anyone who could wield a sword and lead some men. Wang Ping knew it all, but also knew he first had to take this obstable to help continue to form the Xia Kingdom.*
*Nan Zhong was the target. Wang Ping, followed by his marching army had almost neared the city. The two catapults, purchased in the city of Jiao Zhi was going to prove most usefull in their siege of the city. Wang Ping was lucky that his leader had told him this for else, he had forgotten to take any siege equipment. And then, the whole attack was going to be a waste of time and energy. However, Wang Ping was not going to be alone in his attack on Nan Zhong. The general Zhun Yao was going to help him during this battle. The man was not spotted ever since Wang Ping and his comrades left Jiao Zhi, but he was almost certain he would show up eventually. And so, the army of 1,000 heads marched slowly to the city of Nan Zhong, with the intention of claiming it for the Kingdom of Xia. But were the citizens of Nan Zhong prepared for a shift of government?*

*On the horizon, one could see a few men on horses, scouting the area. As soon as they were close to Nan Zhon, Yun Zhao had sent them out to search for their allies, but more important, to find possible enemies. Yet for now, the only thing that was told to Yun was the location of Wang Ping, who was waiting for him near the city, prepared to launch the siege attack as soon as possible. Their target location now being clear, Yun ordered his men forward, to the aid of general Wang Ping of Xia, the kingdom Yun now also served. From afar, it seemed as if Yun's army numbered thousand, but their actual number could be a little more, or a little less. It was also noticeable that the army moved slower than usual, which was because of the catapult and it's ammo they carried with them, currently stationed in the rear of the army.*
*Although marching slower, it didn't take the army long to arrive next to Wang Ping's. Ordering his men to stand at ease, yet still ready to quickly obey orders, Yun Zhao rode towards his fellow general at a medium speed. While doing so, he examined the city, trying to spot weak spots that would be ideal targets for the catapult. As he reached Wang Ping, a friendly smile appeared on Yun's face, and he nodded before addressing the general.*
"Good to see you here Wang Ping. I believe with both our armies in place, we are ready to begin our attack on the city!"

*Wang Ping watches the army of Zhun Yao arrive next to his. The men all seemed fully rested and ready for battle. But Wang Ping wasn't too sure about it. Nan Zhong was close to the Roman capital and it didn't cost too much for them to arrive near the city too. And if the Xia Forces were drawing the attention of the defenders, the Romans could easily march in and grab it away from under their noses. There were plenty of problems and things to worry about, but as Zhun Yao comes riding over to him, he smiles and nods back to Zhun Yao, showing his respect to the man.*
"And it's good to see you here too, Zhun Yao. And I agree in attacking the city. We have plenty of troops, so I suggest we use a small part of our forces to build a small camp here, just in case the siege is going to last longer then expected. Meanwhile, the rest of our men, with help of the catapults, will attack the city. Agreed?"

"An excellent plan, it seems we share the same thoughts on this! I shall inform my troops of the decision and shall await your signal to march."
*This being said, Yun Zhao quickly rode up to his own troops again. He ordered some light armored troops to collect building materials for the camp, while another part of them would start digging a small moat with the shovels they had with them. The more heavily armored units were ordered to pack their gear and be ready to march, while at the same time, the catapult was made ready to be moved within range and open fire upon the enemy walls. Each man worked hard, yet kept most of his energy for the real task, which was conquering the city itself, not constructing defenses outside of it.*

Allright..>>><<<<
Terrain: Like any other castle, forests to the northe western corners, but not near the castle. Flat terrain, giving no heights bonus. Gates at the North East and South East sides. Palace smack dab in the middle.
Enemy Army: 500 Shorbow Archers (Militia) 450 Spearmen (Militia) 300 Brozen Shielded Swordsmen (Militia with Bronze Shields) 10 Elephant Riders
RP post: (Expect short and sweet) The men took to the walls upon hearing of an amassing army. Already, the elephant riders were outside, as well as most of the melee units, forming up so that the elephants were in the Vanguard, with Spearmen and Swords men intermixed around them. This allowed flexibilty against any type of enemy.
They awaited their enemies first move.
You arrive from the North East, where all of the Defenders are currently stationed. Reinforcements may arrive in 2 rounds.

*After a long time, finally some defenders showed up, having noticed the Xia army had approached their city. But, to Wang Ping's terror, huge animals came walking out of the gates, with riders on it. These beasts could have trampled the entire Xia army here and now, was it not for the quick thinking of the two generals. The men had build stockades and we ready to fight off any who would get too close to the camp the troops had constructed. A long siege was no problem and these elephants were not going to be much of a problem either. Wang Ping looks at his friend, Zhun Yao and nods to the man. It was time to face the defenders of Nan Zhong and claim the city for the kingdom of Xia.*
"Zhun Yao! Let's flank the bastards, shall we? I'll have my archers approach from the front, so if they decide to attack them, they can quickly flee behind the stockades and we can seal their faith by smiting their rear. Let's go!'
*And so, the I. Militia Archer Division positioned itself under the command of Wang Do behind the stockades, waiting for the signal to come out and unleash volleys at the Nan Zhong defenders. Meanwhile, Wang Ping had assembled his remaining forces and was heading west. And after having departed from the camp for a few minutes, he halted his army and have them turn to the Nan Zhong defenders. Now it was time to wait for Zhun Yao to move south and prepare for a joint attack at the enemy. Wang Ping grins, thinking about how simple this fight was going to be. And luckily, the catapult was still in the camp, safely behind the stockades, archers and covered under some tents.*

*By the time the defenders had shown up, a nice camp had already been constructed. Various stockades would hinder the advance of the enemy and a small moat would prohibit decent access to certain areas. The earth that was dug up was used to create some elevated positions inside the camp, which gave both an advantageous fighting positions as well as a good overview of the camp's surroundings. Zhun Yao, being done inspecting the camp, now turned his attention towards the enemy. To his terror he saw they had the might of some elephants with them, a unit that was to be reckoned with. From a distance, he heard Wang Ping shout some orders and a quick nod made Ping understand Zhun Yao would do the exact thing that was suggested.*
*He took with him 300 Marine swordsmen and 300 Militia swordsmen, ordering the rest of the army, together with the catapult, to stay in the camp and await further orders. Sufficient messengers, very fast and skilled horsemen, were also taken, to make sure everything would go as planned. The dispatched army, under the lead of Zhun Yao, marched southward, preparing for a joint attack as told by Wang Ping. Finally, he and his men got the chance to prove their worth and, most important, their loyalty to the kingdom of Xia.*
(I probably won't come online for the next 24 hours, so if necessary, Wang Ping or another Xia member can RP my troops to speed up the battle.)
EDIT: Troops
485 Militia Swordsmen (Swords) 500 Marine Swordsmen (Swords and Embossed Shields) 1 catapult

(I usually don't complain that battles are going too slow, since I realise how difficult it can be to come online frequently, yet this is taking.....very long.....)
