*The Han. A Dynasty worth dying for? No, it was nothing more then a name now. Fools fought for it, fools died for it. Fools would fight on, as well. Emperor Du Jung sent a messenger to ask Cao Cao to surrender, but when Sun Yuan Ci heard of the move, he laughed to himself. Cao Cao was an opportunist. He took over for Liu Bei, which was a respectable man who did what he could to help his emperor. But Cao Cao did nothing with what he was given. He gave half of his capital to Zhao in cold fear, and lost the other half to the Temple Knights. Luo Yang was no longer his, and his beloved emperor was no longer under his protection. What was once the Han was now on it’s knees, drowning in a mix of tears and blood, stripped of honor.*
*Zhiyun had not taken place in the battle as of yet, but now was the time for him to strike. He received word that Bya Kuo had attacked, and taken few casualties as he did major damage to the enemy general Xu Fu. But the hero thus far was Kong Suo. He obliterated his enemy as he charged towards the city. He would be congratulated after the city was taken.*
*Yuan Ci exited the commander tent, revising the assault of the city. The catapults continued to fire, with twice the amount of men working in order to fire faster. He found his horse and mounted, assembling his army to his rear as he left the camp. They rode at first, in a walking speed, and picked up speed slowly. They were at a great speed when Sun thrusted his spear forward, in which the soldiers all picked up their speed greatly. He needed no speech to rally his men. They served him for a long time, and they knew they’d die for reason they deemed secure. They knew the man they followed, and not a thing he could say would change them. All that he’d need to do to rally his men would fight like a demon in battle.*
*The catapults pounded on the gate, which was weakening with every attack. When Yuan Ci arrived, the archers and javelin throwers hurried to the sides of the gate, where archers were placed in position to pummel their enemies with arrows. They attacked each side, spread out to lessen collateral damage.*
“Kong Suo, Bya Kuo, you have made your commander proud this day! Now we must cleanse this city of the corruption of Cao Cao. Have all archers attack the men atop the gates. Have your cavalry ready to sweep in for a glorious charge once the gate falls.”
*The men were indeed being hit by enemy fire, but they outnumbered the men on the walls, and every time they were hit, it seemed another man came into view. The army was never ending. It was a grand sight to see in Zhao’s perspective, but it was catastrophic for the men atop the gates. Chang’an was as good as taken.*

*Kou sighed. These arbalests were getting annoying... especially with the crossbowmen aiding in its' fire.
Kou formed up his unit , save 10 men who retreated back to the main camp, and charged forward, towards the walls, where his troops, as well as himself, flattened themselves against the city walls, directly below the arbalests.
Despite a look of an obvious lack of foresight on his part, Kou knew exactly what he was doing.
The arbalests would not be able to aim at him, due to their inability to aim straight down, and large rocks being pushed over the side would also prove ineffective, as, being pushed, they would move OVER Kou's unit, who were waiting sidled at the wall, which (According to the city description) was covered in extending rods. This wouldn't only stop ladders from being laid against the wall, but would shield Kou's unit, even if slightly.
The only effective means that Kou could think of to hit him would be dropping, not pushing, stones onto his unit... for which Kou was also prepared.
The 50 crossbowmen closest to the gate would aim their loaded crossbows towards the gate, as well as above it (If anyone came into view), and attack any enemies that came into their line of fire.
Meanwhile, the remaining crossbowmen aimed upwards, towards the top of the wall, and would hit anyone that made the mistake of leaning too far forwards.*
("I'll deal with them now... I don't enjoy my unit being destroyed.")
(EDIT: Note that my troops are still in basic formation, and standing apart from one another. However, it's not as effective as before as we're sidled against the wall. >_>)

troops remaining of Jin Pin -8 Swordsmen / thatch shields (with Jin inside wall) Detacted -10 Marines with Crossbow / Chain Mail -130 Marines with Battle Axes -270 Crossbowmen on wall 335 crossbowmen -15 Marines Composite Longbows / Chainmail ((and what are Xu remaining troops?))
*the force of Bya Kou along the wall were easy pray for Jins 130 Axemen for * *Killing more or less all of Kou troops maybe him too*
*Jin open a second scroll with a symbol of a Elephant on it he reads its quickly and sends one of his swordmen with a torch and a few arrows not with points but with small bags of sugar and ground rock salt. given to the 15 longbowmen on the wall the bags were lit and very quickly (about 5 sec. after they were lit) a cloud of white smoke appeared over the troops on the wall 14 of them fire into the groups of elephants charging foward as well one agaist the wall by the gate. elephants which were smart enough to go away from fire would be sent into chaos at the sight of the smoke. as well it gave cover for what was left of Xu troops to open the gate get out of danger and leave the front lines (to the city/palace area) and the gate was once again closed. the remaining crossbowmen detacted from Jin fire into the oncoming enemy know that they would die but would die for the Han*
((i gave a link to my cloud plan earlier))

(Errm.... unless I'm mistaken, you'd have to go through Kong Suo's troops to get to mine - they're at the gate, right? >_>
Meanwhile, I'm at the walls, further from you than Kong Suo.
*Shrugs* I'll leave it to the mod. =P)

*The elephants of Kong Suo's army began retreating from the smoke, apparently spooked by the sight of it. However, the only troops that were even remotely threatened by this were the cavalry forces, which easily moved out of the way whenever any elephants ran their way. With the elephants completely withdrawn from the area around the gate, Kong Suo could now sound the attack with his infantry without fear of his elephants running amok somehow. He smiled, and raised a green flag. His archers began laying down a shower of arrows upon the tops of the walls and the exposed crossbowmen there, able to concentrate their fire easily because of the small numbers. The archers stopped their firing and moved within the walls at a given signal. The breaker cavalry, still in position outside the gate from their destructive charge, were also in a position to easily turn aside the forays of the battle-axe armed infantry. When the pikemen arrived at the gate, it was all over. With superior reach and far superior numbers and armor, there was nothing the axemen could do but retreat or die upon the layered pikes of their adversaries. As the pikemen entered the city, they shifted their formation to become slightly less wide, but deeper, so that it would fit easily in the city streets. Thoguh the streets were huge, there needed to be some room on the flanks for the swordsmen to maneuver. The light swordsmen rushed around, about half going with the pikemen to aid their assault, but the rest of the others scaling the walls to get at the crossbowmen and arbalests sitting atop them. When the swordsmen arrived, the slaughter commenced, as the crossbowmen were easily overwhelmed but the numbers of melee fighters. With the arbalests thus captured and out of commission, it would be simple matter for the rest of the army to advance. The light swordsmen gave the signal, and the archers moved within the walls to aid the advance of infantry. All cavalry was recalled, and Kong Suo himself now began to advance with his personal guard of Amazon warrioresses in tow. Kong Suo smiled. Death was in the air. The death of an aging and corrupt dynasty.*

..I don't know to be honest. They shouldn't.. Walls must be some 15-20 feet tall..
Jin Pin: Bya Kou is right, in order to get to his position you would have to push through Kong Suo or Sun Yuan Ci's army. Considering you posted them heading for Kou, they would have to do this and thus get nearly obliterated by the barrage of archer fire. Losses: Total = 230 Two armies, more archers than you have troops in your detachment, this isn't pretty my friend.. The entire main army is moving forward, and thus your really screwed. However the smoke helped your troops on the walls. -90 Marines with Battle Axes (detachment) -120 Crossbowmen (detachment) -20 Crossbowmen on walls
Sun Yuan Ci: Entering the fray, near Kong Suo and thus did not attract a lot of attention. You would have done well to destroy everything near the gates, and you are now moving past the detachment into the now destroyed gate. Effectively pushing and cutting off that detachment. Cover fire is helping you as well. Losses: Total = 70 -20 Crossbowmen (Front destroyed) -20 Z. Lancers -20 Z. Spearmen -10 Crossbowmen
Bya Kou: Well done again. Losses: Total = 20 Crossbowmen effectively opened themselves for fire, yet dodged most of it as they were moving forward. -20 Crossbowmen
Kong Suo: Elephants are gone, enemy wounded and bleeding. You gathered the most attention this time round, but your cover fire stopped most of it from getting to you. Losses: Total = 60 You did well here, you effectively drew fire, and yet defended against it while firing. For this, I take my hat off to you. -30 Light Infantry (Militia/Sword/Light Chain Mail/Thatched Shield) -30 Archers (Militia/Composite Bow)
Over all:
Han loses 230 troops Zhao loses 150 troops
Han: Another bad play, but it was already gone, you know what I mean? You should get out of here Jin Pin, regroup or something in Cheng Du. Your detachment will be gone next turn and all you will have left is your bow troops and whatever is one the walls. Soon, there will be no escape. Always remember the positioning of your units, and always make sure to review and look at everything in your head and let it all play out.
Zhao: Cover fire is what saved the day for you guys. The Smoke blocked your view, but you went berserk on those walls. The smoke also had blocked out his men from seeing.

(Did my detachment of swordsmen sent up the walls not do much damage, then? As the rest of this post doesn't affect this battle in the least, here goes.)
*A messenger hurriedly approached Kong Suo from the cavalry units still situated outside of the city.*
My lord! Cao Cao is abandoning the city, and taking the defenders of Chang An with him, if the scouts are to be believed. Not only that, but Cheng has attacked Wancheng! The Emperor is personally meeting him, but has sent messengers to the far reaches of our empire for reinforcements. What are your orders, sir?
*Kong Suo thought momentarily about that. Would he chase down Cao and end the Han once and for all? His cavalry could easily catch up to them. However, his lord was urgently calling for aid in Wan. Kong, however, had no more time to spare for this. He had a city to take control of.*
Tell my officer, Shi Fei, to take all of our cavalry forces southeast to Wancheng and to the camp of Emperor Du Jung. Go now.
Yes sir.
*The messenger rode quickly out the gates and out of site to join with the cavalry detachments with the orders. Kong Suo turned his attention once more to the long columns of pikemen, swordsmen, and archers filing quickly into the city.*
Men! Capture whatever is left of the Han forces still within the walls. Let no one escape!

(Short...)
*Zhiyun rushed to Bya Kuo, riding to his flank.*
"Lord Kuo, we must secure this city. For now, we allow Cao Cao to leave to Cheng Du. All that was a threat in the Han is no more."
*He looked to the southwest, where Cao Cao was reported to be fleeing.*
"Run, run, run away. Turn and flea to escape the fray. But as night is night and day is day. You shall always be my prey..."
*The soldiers entered the city, where they were met warmly and coldly by the citizens of what was Cao Cao's regime. They were given supplies, to satisfy them, and the army advanced to block off all escape routes from there. Jin Pin was trapped.*
"Lord Jin Pin, I gave you your chance. To follow the path you believed was right. Well, my friend, you were wrong. I will ask you to surrender no more. You may give up if you wish, but you shall die either way."
*The men began to go up the walls, attacking, while the archers fired from inside the city and outside the walls. Jin Pin stood no chance at all now.*

(Bah... I won't destroy the Arbalests... seeing as though we've practically captured them. ) *Kou nodded to Yuan Ci's words absent mindedly. His thoughts were on the war against Yuan Shu... this battle was nothing but a distraction... why was he fighting here? Well, it was too late, now... he'd have to press the attack. Kou's forces, still sidled against the wall, made their way through the gate and stood behind Yuan Ci's unit, in relative safety. He would simply... allow Ci to handle the rest - his intereferance wasn't needed.*

..Missed that part, I guess. Well, I doubt they would have had the chance to make it to the top, as Jin Pin's detachment was still there, and the bulk of the army was to the front, making it hard to make such movemnts. Oh well, they'll make it next turn. If Jin Pin doesn't leave all of his troops may be dead because of this and the main army.
