So about the dueling system. Do the admins actually step up and take over, like a Game Master. I mean, the system of posting like we have now would work with more control..such as an Admin would be put in charge of it just like Battles, and they say what hits and what doesn't...based on clarity/creativity/skill/etc... I mean..that's just a suggestion and I could be way off with it..oh well..just thought I'd throw that out there...

guys, rather than arguing, why don't we just try the system out?
Although, personally, I'd prefer the RTK-style duel system. Less pure luck involved.

Maybe I'll use the rotk system of duelling.
Parry beats slice Counter beats parry Slice beats counter.
And then people just state which of those they do for five turns in a pm, and can put in some roleplaying over PM that can make their moves more powerful or somthing. Dunno.

How about that, plus a modifier of X depending on the quality of the post? Like, someone PMs you the tactics, but describes them for a little extra damage?

And don't forget the stats!

The stats will work like this.
Slice beats counter. Counter beats parry. Parry beats slice.
If you do a move that beats your enemies one turn then you'll do 2x your strength damage to your enemy. If you do the same move you'll do your strength damage to the enemy. If you do a move that's weak against your enemies' you won't do any damage to them. Each person will submit 5 turns with what they want to do and can choose to use extra detail and description of their attacks or defense moves for extra points.

Then leave the description out, please. No need to give detail in a PM. Besides, the admin will have to much power anyway. And I don't want Jordan to read it, cause he doesn't know what good RPing is. So just use the:
Slice beats counter. Counter beats parry. Parry beats slice.
And then it's cool for me... I guess...

You PM your moves to an admin...

... Are you truly that simple? THEY SEND PM's TO AN ADMIN, WHO THEN PUTS THEM SIDE BY SIDE, THEN POSTS THEM TURN BY TURN.

Or not. Eh...I dunno. Maybe we'll just use the old system but make it so that duels are done in places on the battlefield completely seperate from the action. I don't know.
To be honest I'm even thinking of using the system that aruzo uses on drug dealers. For good roleplay posts maybe they can just have a higher chance of hitting on the dice and doing damage. If anybody has seen the el diablo roleplay thread or even the other threads you'll know what I mean. The system works quite well I think.

Instead of Slice, Counter, and Parry, why don't the two duelists play a virtual game of online Rock Paper Scissors? All I know is I'm no longer a duelist, and anyone who does duel in battle is stupid.

No!
Play a game of Russian Roulette on the internet. I know a game that's really fun and is that same as Russian Roulette. But first you have to do rock, paper scissors and the loser has to take the gun and see if he's lucky today.
