Ok, we're using something different for duelling in-battle now. Here's how it goes.
Duel Flow:
Each side PMs 5 bouts to duel mod. Every 5 bouts is called a round. Mod runs it and posts results, after which it continues until one side is KO’d/retreats
(Strength +/- move effect) +/- weapon advantage = Total Damage
Everyone starts with 500 HP, as well as 10 DP to distribute as they wish. DP can be used to gain special moves, upgrade moves, or to boost their HP by +50 per DP. You can have a max HP of 1000.
Three kinds of basic attack:
-Stab (Upgrade: +10 Damage)
-Slash (Upgrade: 50% Chance of Stunning opponent)
-Dodge (Upgrade: 50% chance of dealing [Damage/2 to opponent])
Upgrading basic moves costs 2 DP
Stab beats Slash, Slash beats Dodge, Dodge stuns those who Stab for the next bout
Be sure to post your weapon type in your profile. It's simple: Long, Short, or Medium. Long beats Medium, Medium beats Short, Short beats Long. Post which type your weapon is in your sign up.
Note: If you have more than one weapon and they are of different types, specify which one will be your "main" weapon. In duels, the main weapon will decide who has the advantage. Refer to this list to see what happens:
*Ranged Weapons*
You may equip a ranged weapon as your secondary weapon. If you do, only your main weapon will affect who and what the advantage is for the duel. The way ranged weapons work is this: You decide which weapon you start the duel using. You may switch weapons at any time, but it takes one move. No changing while stunned. While using a ranged weapon, you will not be affected by Dodge or Counter, you will receive twice as much damage against Stab and Heavy Blow.
Advanced Moves (once per round):
Retreat: Loses to Stab, Draws against Slash, Ends Duel against Dodge (Upgrade: 50% Chance of succeeding against Slash)
Rest: Loses to Stab, Draws against Slash, Recovers 20 HP against Dodge (Upgrade: Recovers 30 HP)
Counter: Loses to Slash, Draws against Dodge, Deals Damage+Opponent’s Damage to Opponent against Stab (Upgrade: 50% Chance of succeeding against Slash)
Heavy Blow: Loses to Dodge, Draws against Stab, Deals double damage against Slash (Upgrade: 50% Chance of Stunning opponent)
Upgrading advanced moves costs 1 DP
Special Moves: (Once per duel; note at the top of a round when used, unless otherwise noted)
Rage – User deals +20 Damage for the round, but can only use Slash and Stab, and is stunned at the beginning of the next round. (1 DP)
War Cry – Opponent deals -10 Damage for the round, but user is stunned for the first bout of the round (2 DP)
Musou – User receives no damage for the round, but is stunned for the first bout of the next round. (3 DP)
Deathblow – Noted next to an individual Slash or Stab, user deals an additional +150 damage if blow connects. Regardless, user is stunned for the next bout (4 DP)
Parthian Stab – User can only Dodge, Rest, or Retreat for the round. Each of these may be done as many times as you like. At the end of the round, user deals (Damage x 2 x Number of Bouts Won) to opponent. If user wins 3 or more of the bouts, opponent is also stunned. Effects are cancelled is user successfully retreats. (5 DP)
Finally, earning DP. DP can only be obtained by dueling. For each bout you win, you gain a tenth of a DP. You must keep track of how close you are to earning a DP. You also receive a DP for each duel won via KO. You can earn DP in duels fought both in battle and in the arena, but only two arena duels will give DP. We can’t have everyone becoming godly in one week, now can we?
Direct questions to me, via PM. If you feel the need to duel the old-fashioned way, you may in the arena, but not in-battle.

-You have both have two of the same type: Whoever has the advantage deals 20 more damage, as opposed to 10.
-Side with advantage has same type, loser has different types: Side with advantage does 15 more, rather than 10.
-Side with advantage has different types, loser has same types: Winner deals 10 more, loser deals 5 less. - If one has two weapons and one has only one:
-If dual-wielder has the advantage, he deals 15 more damage.
-If single-wielder has advantage, he deals 10 more and recieves 5 less.
