Wei Yan stood in the main street of the market, "Sinner" in hand. He had sent his militia out into the city to gather people who would come and hear him out.
He waited for what seemed like hours before he had a good amount of people there who actually wanted to listen.
Yan raised "Sinner" to the sky and bellowed deeply his words so everyone could here, be them at the market or 5 blocks over.
"Chaos...Comes...Me...Keep...You...Free!!! Please...Help...Me!!!" he yelled sternly.
He wasn't sure the response he would get, because lets face it he was horrid with talking. He thought though if he could lead an army, he could atleast recruit one.

A single woman was amongst the crowd. She had been scouting all over China for Shimazu Toshihisa, and had just happened to be in Jiangling when a stranger had entered. He was a fascinating example of muscle, although a little on the slow side, and not that much of a wiseman, he seemed as though he could lead men effectively, and could probable cleave a horse in twain.
This tantalized her.
She walked forward, amongst the crowd of people, and stood in front of the man, her cutlass hanging loosely at her side, the oddly cut clothes a stark contrast to almost all other seen clothing in the country. Her shirt, a straight v-cut down, gave way to ample breasts that could deter any man from any thing. She was curvy, in all the right places, and a wit to match.
So... You want to end the chaos? How about, we create some, more, chaos, to end the old, chaos?

Wei Yan noticed the woman and shook his head in disgust. His eyes glanced around at the crowd and with a simple twirl of "Sinner" the woman was surrounded by 10 of Yan's militia and Yan himself.
"Please.....Go.....Chaos...End...Not...Change.." Yan asked sternly pointing "Sinner" down at the woman. "Please.." he stated again before letting her reply

Okay then. You don't want the Chaos to end. Either way, you know you'll get dragged into this. I'm just here to tell you that you've got friends in Ye and Qing. Don't forget us, Warrior of Old.
The woman, turning, dropped a piece of paper on the ground, with a blood-red ribbon. The letter read thus:
Even the Greatest of Warriors need a leader. Lord knows you can use one.

Wei Yan withdrew his weapon and motioned for his men to leave and return to rallying within the crowd of people.
Dropping down from where he had been standing he picked up the letter and read it as best he could aloud at first, then again to himself. Looking up he watched the woman walk away and knew he couldn't sway her to stay and help him. Shrugging he shook his head and returned to the rally.
"People...Me...Defend...With...Help!!!" he bellowed again raising "Sinner" to the sky. "I...Strong...But...Only...One..Make..Me..Many!!"
Xu Yu walked among the crowd speaking softly the people and making sure they understood the manner of Wei Yan's ranting. His size only made him an easier thing to see and hear.
Zhou Tan stood strong by Wei Yan. His eyes raced under the cloak hood, watching every aspect of the land. He was not going to let anything harm Wei Yan no matter how capeable Yan was of defending himself.

Wei Yan was a sight to see alright. A funny sight for many of the insensitive. A fascinating sight to many of the curious. In any case he, his personality and his way of speaking received mixed feelings. Either way though he was a sight to see, and a sight that people didn't normally see. A large crowd gathered to hear him talk, though only a few actually volunteered for service. Most of the civilians thought that Wei Yan was insane and gave him money out of pity. As a result Wei Yan received more funds than troops. One wealthy nobleman donated some horses to Wei Yan's cause, figuring that he was a warlord in need of soldiers to quell a rebellion or launch a punitive mission against bandits.

Wei Yan was happy that he had gained a few men and sighed when he realized it was mainly out of pity. Once again his incompetence in the way of speech had killed his true potential. Shaking his head he dropped down and round up the few men he had gained and the ones he already had returning back to the barracks. It had been a small reward and a big realization today.
