A man's destiny is a path of his choice
And so the Radiant White Dragon began his journey to the ever lasting destruction of the world, soon nations across the entire planet would wage war, and Xu Tuo would see and live through them all, waiting and forever protecting the people of his master, and so Aevon spoke through him, as a signal, as a warning for all that was right, destiny, is but a choice a man makes, not a guide set by a god or any other supernatural force. - Verse 7 from the Keeper of Time, Written by Fan Di Ju
Sitting in the stern of the training industrial grounds, his feet sprawled out before him in a heap of mess, with a spear clung tightly to his chest, observed a man of maybe 6 feet. His hair was combed back, its white tinge covering most of his usual black hair. He had a medium build, with a firm torso and forearms where he'd practised his training as a child.
Another man stood beyond him, much younger then the other man, he was only twenty something at most, and wore a finely cut robe pitch-worked with gold and black trimmings that dressed the robe with patterns, he to was built in size, much more built then that of the old man.
"So what are we to do here?" asked Cyrus Embient, the younger one of the two, also formally known as the squire.
"Depends on the options, there are always troops to train and people to meet, but personally I'd rather just drink myself to death." He grunted sloppily, and levered himself with his spear, his body lined out, and his wrists came visible as he drew up the spear for support, so skinny they were.
"You're looking older by the day master." Cyrus muttered, his smile showing through his whitened teeth.
"Still young enough to show you a thing or two though." Retorted the master, grunting in his frowning manner as he always did.

Xu Tuo stood, his fragile frame portrayed by the flickering lights of the Barracks, his hand led its way down the shaft, easing the spear into a swift easy motion as his feet shuffled back and forth, old he might have been, and yet he still moved with that of any youth.
"It's been a long time Cyrus, we ready to teach these pawns a thing or two." He smiled carelessly, eyeing the men as they shouted and stamped, their own swords patting angrily against their bare chests or shields, watching in a painful anticipation.
The men advanced, the troops screaming as they saw Xu Tuo encircle the arena made by their own flesh, "Remember, flashy work, we need not beat each other to a pulp, only teach these idiots a thing or two."
At that he dashed side long and then suddenly reformed his circling motion, "Once we have finished, you want to beat up these puny men." He spoke with a youthful tone, brightened by the idea of him taking on his own platoon, "Only slight injuries, nothing which won't heal over time Cyrus, besides these men have never tasted that of their own blood, not like us true warrior."

The Dragon-Born weaved forwards, his Arkkadian armor clanging around the contours of his strong form. As always his dual katana's rested at his waist, the curved blades lusted with claws at their sheaths urging to be free and taste blood. With a mere thought the dark warrior silenced them, the weapons seemed to quiver in their sheaths in fear of the Ancestor.
Cyrus allowed his Dragon blood to fire inside of himself, strengthening his limbs as he stalked around. The weak light seemed to give a strange quality to Cyrus, his dark armor and skin giving a shadowy veneer that circled around him like some bird of prey.
Slowly the twin swords of the Prince were drawn, shivering as air spilled over their silver forms. Keeping himself in a slow circling motion the warrior slowly shook his arms, keeping his blades pointed to the aged warden. Placing a right foot forwards he slowly made his way towards to Wu Tuo, keeping the left side of his body forwards the dark warrior made himself a smaller target.
"Dear Knight....it shall be good. I will like to see how time has passed for you."
Then he moved, speed took over his sluggish actions zagging to the right he instantly moved back to the center as he came into range of the spear. Muttering to himself the Dragon Knight kept his left weapon vertical, the long hilt seemingly to big for his plated hand. The right katana was held horizontal, the elongated hilt hidden behind his forearm. Then he moved, pushing his left outwards to strike the spear on the buckle and move it aside. Using his left leg to aid the push he also used the freedom of movement to bring his right long blade to bear, still in the same upright position it was swung about towards the Knight's chest.
As these movements were performed Cyrus allowed his darkened eyes to fixate upon his foe, his mind demanded silence from the crowd and his ears attuned to the small radius of nothing around him. By making his movements more flowing he ensured his armor would not slow him, however all this was secondary to victory. The Dragon-Born had to prevail.

The day the world stopped
What is a fight? Is it the progress of two men, or is it the power displayed with military tactics, who knows what a duel really means, or what a fight really is, all we know is that Xu Tuo and Cyrus fought on those wooden planks, and showed the world an art so fine that people thought them as the legends of war. - Page 1 of the Book on Tactical Warfare, Written by Gui Man
Xu Tuo watched with an eye so dedicated that it caught even the dimples of the spiked armour reflect within the small lights of the barracks, his spear hadn't shifted, neither had his opponent at such a time, everything was steady, and everything was calm.
He couldn't remember how he acted straight away, but the zigzag had baffled him, only until he centred again and a smile crept upon his cheeks, "So the enemy uses foreign stances to." The taut voice whispered as his legs moved back in motion, the enemy's firmed hands gripped upon both blades, the left vertical, and the right horizontal.
"And now the move." He had a habit for talking in duels, but its what kept his sanity after the flawless victories he had gained throughout his years, his opponent had moved into spear range, but with his withdrawal a few extra inches was put in, and now was the time to act.
Within a swift of an eye, he darted left, coming closer with the horizontal blade, he knew it was easier to thrust then to pull, and to arc rather then swipe, so he moved directly towards its direction, his spear now clenched firmly by the base, his left touching the buckle and his right mid-way.
The action was quick, he led his thrust by the buckle first, and slid his right hand down the shaft for concentrated accuracy, his body was at a disadvantage, but his continual movements kept him safe from any sudden swipes, for a spear kept a distance well at a vertical thrust, a horizontal swipe reduces the distance it'd need to swipe him.
His body arched as his fists clanged together, his left arm, still clenched to the buckle pushed forward, twisting the body to rotate slightly to extend the reach, it'd strike for the generals right shoulder region.
"A man with two short swords is superior to a man with one long spear, however you attacked, and thus I automatically gain an advantage, men!" He continued the swift motion, but roared his voice so all the cheering men halted and watched in amazement, "Remember what we teach you…for victory and for survival. You must precede every movement with caution."

"Thus we are at a strange contest....to fight you must utilise the strength of your weapon. Spears are primarily defensive and blades offensive. However the sword can be used for defence better than the spear attack."
He spoke mere moments after Xu, allowing his actions to continue as he spoke, he refused however to concentrate on his words and no doubt was hard to understand. He had been suprised by the movement but the Dragon-Born refused to allow his suprise to surface on the lake of his emotion.
For a flitter of time Cyrus considered his limbs, his right could possible make a strike, at the risk of himself being hit. His left had been avoided and was currently useless at his position, he needed to bring each weapon into use otherwise the advantage was lost. Perhaps it was already lost.....he would regain it.
His right leg moved to the right and was placed into a crouch, the left leg was stiffened and out left at a harsh angle as the dark warrior leaned to the right. Now came risk, his head was in range of the attack, looking only at the spear. Further lowering himself on the right leg his left was almost completely straight, but still held the curve for him to push off. As this motion was undertaken the warrior shortened the reach of his horizontal blade, turning the weapon too early.
The spear would surely hit the Celestial though? No, it would not. Any thought of being struck was not in the warrior's mind, he cast aside such thoughts and stripped them of merit only allowing the positive to tip the thoughts of the Ancestor.
Now he countered, his head was again lowered and moved right, still it could be hit, with some effort. His left body propelled the right, his once straight left now pushed him to the right. Using his crouched right leg he put in a burst of motion. His right katana slapped aside the spear with the flat of the weapon, the dull thwack hummed in the air long after the defense. With the left weapon Cyrus held it ready for a slash, his low dashing form headed to the right of the warden. As the dark skinned foreigner would pass his foe he brought the left weapon across, the sweeping slice moved the weapon from under the spear and across the chest of Xu Tuo.
As he passed to the right the warrior entered a crouch and turned to face his foe, trying to keep close as to prevent the enemy from using his ranged weapon.

Misery comes after Treachery
A weapon is a tool, the tool can kill, but the tool is never a killer, it’s a tool within the killers hand, but then a tool will kill, and the killer will kill, this means nothing and everything, a weapon isn’t a being, it has no emotions and for that it can kill with ease, a warrior must know that his blade is apart of him…what he kills remains in the blades power, and not in his conscience.
Cyrus dropped to his right knee, the move was pointless and considering Xu Tuo was a moving target, the stationary position would destroy whatever defence he could have countered with, "Only a fool would crouch on a field of battle." He muttered, shooting the words with a hiss of anger.
His spear was with drawn by the same hand that extended it, his right hand re gaining the shaft and proceeding whilst the General was still struggling to ready his positioning, to have dropped in such perfect unison and to co-ordinate the blades which he had wrongly assaulted with, would take time, and by such time he's of been killed.
His body continued its circle, the enemy's right hand sweeping out, meaning to twang with that of the spear head as he gushed through his head, but never did it come, it was training, and nothing more.
His legs bent carefully as he spotted his left blade come back, how he could use a sword on the other side was beyond him, but he liked the idea anyhow.
His spear came drastically towards the neck, stopping when it tugged at the veins, with his new position, and the angle of the spear now digging into the generals neck, a tug or force to the right would result with the sever of the head, *so I've cut of your 2nd assault, where you move more and more right, otherwise I'll stab u and that’s not good.*
His opponent was knelt to the right, the spear head was tipping his throat and his own left leg was urging him to continue in that direction, "So, a man is beaten so soon, remember the foot work my friend, but if you think you've learned enough. pick up the wooden swords, same with you troops, and we'll have a brawl for old time sakes."
He smiled towards the end, the men roaring in hopes of their fight.
**if u wish for another bout reply doing so..if u don’t wanna then pick up the wood.. and beat up as many troops as u want..i for one will be doing a Zhao Yun from dw5 opening screen haha**

Cyrus was suprised, the old man had bested him. It was nothing for a warrior to brood upon, the Dragon-Born simply nodded, upon feeling the nick of steel upon his throat wisely rose his armored head. And so the Old Dragon bested the younger Wyrm, perhaps he had been taught the foolishness of his reckless attitude.
Keeping his entire body rigid the Arkkadian allowed his weapons to be greeted by their sheaths, still unhappy with the lack of violence.
It is a strange fate that after defeat a man can see each mistake and can imagine what had been, such futile efforts would be wasted. The dark champion knew that with each concentrate of his attack he wasted his defense. He would have to focus on that, in due time the younger man would challenge again.
With the peaceful calm of his sheated weapons Cyrus again rose from his position, hunched like a sprinter ready to run. Slowly he eased himself from the cruel, steely grip of the spear and strode over to the rack that held wooden equipment. This acted to a signal to the huge crowd and they each rushed to collect wooden blades.
Chaos broke out, swirling in corrupting arcs from the Celestial, his pride had been taken but he would recover. Casually he moved through the garrison, his weapons leaping out right and left in jagged, vivid smashes that left the men on the floor.
One idiot made the mistake of laughing at Cyrus, within a instant the lithe warrior was at him. One wooden weapon smacked into the slower, sluggish jokers wrist, a dull crack resounded and Cyrus allowed his spare weapon to strike the stomach of the man, making the air flee from his pained lungs. In another stride the Dragon-Born was past him, smashing at the backs of his knee's and flipping the warrior into the floor with a crunch.
Still he set about the men with youthful vigor, he allowed them a few choice hits before beating the soldiers down. It was fun at least.
