Rules
This is a real duel to the death between Ling Fu and Sun Jian. No hidden weapons you may only use 1 weapon. No godmodding. No editing the post after posting to change a motion. You must kill the other to win the duel. Winner gets the others troops and equipment. I will be using Sun Jian with a sword. No mounts involved.
Battlefield Description
We're in the middle of a forest. The day is sunny and no signs of bad weather arriving. The air is pure and thus easy breathing. It is a slight windy for a nice temperature. The warriors will begin 20 feet from each other. The ground is a bit rough so slipping will be very hard unless your an idiot.
Sun Jian's Post
*Sun Jian rides out of Zhao camp until he reachs the forests. When he arrives he dismounts, and ties his horse to a tree far away from where the fight will take place. He draws his ancestral sword and waits for Ling Fu to arrive.*

Ling Fu came to the designated spot, as told to by Sun Jian.
He dismounted his horse, and walked towards his oponent, sword undrawn.
"I am here, Lord Sun Jian."

Ling Fu smiled, and charged forward.
He swung his sword as he charged, aiming a heavy blow at Sun Jian's neck from his right (he's left handed, swinging back-hand), so it would connect just as he got into range.

*Sun Jian sees Ling Fu coming, he made his heavy blow, putting his full strength into it, while backhanding would make him have very little control. Sun Jian takes advantage of this, ducking down, so his sword misses him, and stabbing his sword forward into Ling Fu's organ's and twisting his sword around. With his sword inside, and twisting in Ling Fu, Sun Jian tackles him to the ground, to make sure he doesn't try to stab Sun Jian in the back with his own sword.*

As Sun Jian ducked, he kept charging. Using his right hand, he tried to grab onto Sun's sword arm wrist, and throw his weight on top of him, using his advantage of height to do so.

((Our swords are roughly 3 1/2 feet, standard sword length. Unless you are 6'8'', your arm isn't long enough to grab it before It plunges into you, unless you bent into a V, which your current moment won't allow.))
*Sun Jian's sword slides into Ling Fu's stomach, non-fatally, though Ling Fu is bleeding quite a bit. But now Ling Fu's hand is on Sun Jian's wrist, so to counter this, Sun Jian picks up Ling Fu, and slams him on the ground, landing himself on top of him. This move should make Ling Fu let go of Sun Jian's wrist, and his own sword, it will also cause immense pain in Ling Fu from Sun Jian's sword sliding around inside his stomach. From here Sun Jian lift his upper torso up, take his sword out, and start stabbing Ling Fu repeatedly, before he gets a chance to pick up his sword.*

(The point of running at you, and slamming myself into you, was so that I would land on you, and brawl you on the ground. Ling Fu coming in at that speed would leave you very little time to stab at him, then grab him and lift him up from a crouching position...let alone continue to stab him. I told you aswell on AIM he was throwing himself into you...>_>) (This is why I dont like free forums....Noone ever has any idea whats going on.... )

Lyle you mod this. Again: I suck at modding duels. I don't have the patience or even the brainpower to read through people's confusing posts and understand what the f*ck they're doing. If only duels came with pictographs that showed what each person's moves were...

Winner is clearly Sun Jian.
As stated in the begging of the duel, you are twenty feet/paces from Sun Jian when you start. Now, stand up and follow these directions: Get out of your seat and stand somewhere. Bend your legs and crouch down, now see if you can hold yourself up and still use a hand or two to act like your holding a weapon out.
See how easy that is to do in one motion?
More or less, Jian doesn't need to be holding his position, as from your claims your character was obviously going very fast, which meant Jian only had to bend down and keep his sword out, as you obviously posted saying that you would grab his right wrist. Which in turn means your going downward. You didn't stop and ponder to move down, and thus you skid/fell, so you wouldn't have a lot of control.
Either ways, you posted grabbing his wrist, which at the time was known by both players to be down near the ground, which means you were moving toward his blade.
A better follow up would be something like:
Ling Fu sees his opponent's motions quickly and kicks off, gliding slightly to the right after taking several large steps and gaining the energy. His opponent, who was crouched on the ground couldn't swivel around in time enough to catch Ling Fu's blow, which had just taken out his neck as his speed and agility conquered the mild defenses.
Good practice duel, hopefully you won't attempt such a move again, and try to put more detail in your posts.
