Further on from the Zhao camp, forests appear, though not heavy and dense, they still are quite scenic upon the views from the rising hills in this area. It slopes upward from the Zhao camp's position. It eventually carries on to form the Bei Pao Hill, the largest hill in this pass.

*Slowly the Cheng Army takes up position in the Forest. A perimeter is build and the catapults are being prepared for attack. The Zhao leader, Du Jung, would hit himself on the head, noticing his camp was placed at the foot of a hill. Perfect for a barrage of catapult boulders. All was done in as much silence as possible.*

They better be small then, as my camp is still very far out. Also, there's fog everywhere. You can't see far and thus can't see where your aiming. Hell, you could be firing back at your own camp in the end.

(Don't spam, Lyle. But may I note that Yuan Shu isn't retarded? He knows he where he came from, his own camp. This should be in his back. So in his front, he has the Zhao Camp. Very sad I have to explain this to you, but it seems you have smoked too much weed.) *Boulders begin to fly through the air, going in the direction of the Zhao Camp. Soon they woudl find out they have some uninvited guests, but that would be no problem.*

(*cough* No, I'm afraid it isn't that simple. The Zhao camp isn't infront of him if with the way your positioned. ;P You should really stop worrying about long ranged units. Fight you pussy! Fight!)
The rocks fall short, too heavy and too far off of the Zhao Camp.. They are upon a hill, the fog is most dense here. In the Zhao camp they can be heard, men prepare for battle.

"Hehehe, good!"
*Yuan Shu grins, hearing the sounds of life coming from the distance. The boulders crashed and awoken life in the pass. It was the dawn of battle. Yuan Shu looks around and finds his army to be standing in a forest. All officers were reporting the same thing. A perfect early defence for the battle. For maybe it could turn out to be a long and drawn out siege. Something the Ruler of Cheng didn't hope for...*
*And so Yuan Shu decided that the first region in enemy territory was safe, the Cheng Army had grabbed their gear and headed onward agian. Some small ambush parties consisting of 60 Militia Chariot Riders with Spears, 175 Marine Cavalry with Swords and Leather Armour, 55 Militia Cavalry with Javelins, 180 Storm Trooper Spearmen with Leather Armour and one Ballista, remain in the forest. The forest would prove the first primitive base of operations. And maybe it cold provide reinforcements from entering the battle at the Zhao Camp. However, instead of going to stand in the open, the troops got some distance among each other. But in order to keep things safe. one soldier of each squad kept running to and forth the officers to tell where everyone was. Things were ordered strictly and no intruder would go by unnoticed.*
*Quickly having noticed no further problems, the officers decide to decide where the north lays. So all men woudl now where to go, as co-ordination would be very hard in this kind of weather. Everything had to be prepared perfectly, so the officers decide the enemy lays in the north, so they decide to set up the reporting point in the south of the forest. And while the men still walked to and forth, they were to tell their own squads where the reporting point was. And so the small army militia army, was already trained in higher skilled tactics. The officers, personally picked by Yuan Shu were good enough to serve in his personal army. But the true warriors were on the field. Lke the infamous generals of Cheng. The heros! Hui Can, the beautiful but deadly amazone! Jiang Wei, the mighty strategist, would hand the final blow to Zhao and rid China of it's Fake Emperor. And not to mention all those other brave Generals, fighting with their lives, for one goal: Peace in the Land. Their Land. Duelling with the risk of life and death, the adrenaline to know you are fooling with life. And then finish the Zhao bastards in the name of Cheng! China would be clean again.*

In the distance men would hear Er's army marching, 2700 elephants make quite the noise. As the fog would move in the wake of their steps and a figure could be seen moving quickly. Er made no effort to halt his army in the case of allied peoples standing in his way, they could hear him coming and if they made no effort to move, that was their choice.
His chariot riders were traveling at the borders of his army, some were sent out as scouts to navigate through the fog while others covered the rear. In the front was his elephants, beastly creature used as machinations of war. They were organized in four divisions of 130 columns and 5 rows. The side two divisions were slightly back from the others. After that was a row of 500 militia followed by two ranks of 250 Einheriar and the other 500 militia in the rear and the 100 amazoness riders with them. Between the rear flank of militia and the heavily armed imperial troops were the two catapults, perfect for breaching the enemy defenses.
Er was so close he could feel battle in his bones and hear the screams of his enemies in his ears. Victory would belong to him and his allies and afterward a mighty feast would be prepared with fine food and even finer woman. Two things were on Er's list on par with battle, on those were it. In the battle nearing he would make himself known throughout China, for ages his name would be passed on.

*''Screw this!"thought Kaiser as he saw the Zhao army they were facing. Yeah, he was brave and bold for fame and gold. But what the hell was he thinking?! No, he made no promise, no contract, he had no duty towards Cheng. He'd leave this place. And he'd find himself a new employer. He and his troops were dashing through the forest. Well, they were dashing at least, he was riding. Turning to face them he shouted.--
''Ok! Let's get the hell outta here people! Pull back to safety!''
*Gallantly they pulled back. After all, he who runs away, lives to fight another day. He had no intention on fighting the oncoming Zhao army. In a matter of minutes he and his troops were gone with the wind.*

(Yuan Shu has escaped thread 2, as Xilang said, and is now in 4.)
*Sun Yuan Ci's multiple horsemen manuever as silently as they could past the retreating force of Yuan Shu, consisting now only of 500 swordsmen. They had the pawn turned back and fleeing with his tail between his legs, but it would not be so. Zhiyun took the helm of the riders, as the fog covered most of their formation, which was scattered and unorganized to move faster. The took position in the north and south of the forest. They sat and waited, while Sun Yuan Ci rode to the front, in order to rally the men before Shu arrived.*
"My men, victory is nearly ours. The Battle of the Jing Pass has been won, and now it is the Flight of Yuan Shu. We have outsmarted the larger force, obliterated all they had. It was a price to pay at the flatlands, but the men of Zhao that fell died with honor for the most just cause in the land. There is nothing left to stop Zhao from conquering Cheng. Now what say we lessen the chances for a tight defense by slaying the lord Yuan Shu here and now, leave the kingdom without a leader, and without a spoken successor. Throw them into disarray. Now silent, we must strike."
*When they heard the men approaching, they shouted, speeding into battle. Zhiyun hit the sides first, followed by his cavalry, who were riding tightly together, plundging deeply into the side flanks, forcing a crescent shape. They fought to the middle of the formation, attempting to split the small force into two smaller forces.*

(This has been done before on this battle, why should I not be able to do it? So unless you can give me a valid reason for it, I'll change it. Besides, I just run and run and get out without more scratches anyway. Doesn't make a difference how I leave this place.)
