True, true. Me and Jesse were talking about this awhile ago and mounted units were brought up. With mounted units you would be able to more easily equip heavier armour (as stated in the troop purchases thread for chain mail and plate armour), and would also gain a bit more storage space, since you could have satchels and stuff on the side of the horse or something. Horses aren't machines either, dudes... Carrying a strong soldier with heavy armor on your back isn't really good for the stamina. And if your rider would carry one weapon and put 3 or 4 of his weapons somewhere on the horse, the animal would get exhausted pretty fast too. So if a packed horserider would fight one swordsmen, I'd say the swordsmen would win. EDIT: Another question: If you raise e.g. your market to 1,000 one week, does the market get;s resetted again, so you'll have to start the next week with 0/5000 again?

Nope. It doesn't reset. You can keep raising it until it's maxed...

*Looks on his blocnote* Yes, I have a question for mister Jorge. Could it be that you have gotten some ideas from Story of the Three Kingdoms? And apart from that: does anyone have the link to Story of the Three Kingdoms? Sorry I didn't look at this thread until today LOL and no I didn't take anything of SOT3K

Why are all the Roman generals so young? There's no way in hell Romans would give such a high rank to teenagers. Roman generals were in their 40's. Then there's the whole thing about traveling. Rome to China, that would take a few years. I'd say for an 18 year old to go to China, from Rome, he'd depart when he was 14. That's a 14 year old general of the greatest army of the time. It doesn't matter alot, but that kind of bugs me.

True - and at least Parthia could get here...Rome would have to go through Russia or completely destroy Parthia to get to China..but whatever. I made my character 32 to match the marching distance...(A year or so - Parthia was really close to China.)

Indeed...and Roman generals, before and I think after(?) the rise of Roman Emperors were selected by the Senate...and why are all the Roman's the 'Julii'? What happened to all the other famous Roman families...

But still, they're 14 year old generals leaving to go to China. Maybe they were born in China... that would explain many things, including their grasp of the language and their "normality".

If the Julli decided to suddenly increase their prestige, they wouldn't invite the Scippi and Brutti to join them would they?
Many Roman generals were more interested in acquiring fame than helping their country. Pompey, Caesar, etc. were all glory hounds...

Mhm, thats what I tend to just believe.
I also believe in pretend things, so, that helps too. Having an imagination... Especially when its stated about the site "Not a normal 3K site"
Just my views.
