"No searching should be needed, if you truly want to see the Emperor.."
Four guards are to his front, two behind him. One whispers to him, telling him he must stay one hundred paces out at all times, or he will be executed without question..
Jian is taken to the throne, passing between the two guard towers that house nearly fifty men each. He is left upon the set mark, some one hundred paces from the Emperor of Zhao. The guards spread out nearly at random, though it had been trained down to a perfection, each man evenly spaced out from the other. They form two lines down the center isle of the throne, large pillars and the seats of the court upon their sides.. Guards with crossbows man the walls, like always.
Zhutai looks to the man, a firm look upon his face as he meets a fellow adventurer, and warrior. He motions for the man to speak.

*Sun Jian in his red armor and clothing bows low to the Emperor of Zhao.*
Sun Jian: Lord Emperor, I am Sun Jian "the Tiger of Jiang Dong". I have come to offer my services to lord Emperor. I am a highly skilled general and fighter, and excell in naval battles.
*Sun Jian said with another low bow.*

An official approaches the Emperor quickly, informing him of key information upon the guest..
"And you have earned such a title, and power in battle under the banner of the Han, a banner I do not support.. If I'm to accept you, you must be for my cause. I feel that you are not, and it is as simple as that. If you can find a way to prove yourself, then please do so. Otherwise.."

(Damn it dude, that stuff never happened! >_<)
*Sun Jian bows lower.*
Sun Jian: Lord, I am at your service. Command me, and I shall obey. If it is my life you wish me to take, I shall die with honor, do as you wish.

(I need a bonafied reason to say not to you as, you were going to serve the Han. You said you hated Shady and Brian, so yeah, I don't have much of a choice here. I can send you to Cheng, my allies..)
"Kill a Han general, and nothing more.."

( I didn't mean that, I have a really bad temper. Sorry.)
*Sun Jian bows to the Emperor.*
Sun Jian: I shall do as you ask my lord. Shall I go now to fulfill my task?

Post by Bya Kou on Aug 12, 2006 3:03:19 GMT -5
*It was late afternoon, very soon night, when Bya Kou made his way to the palace of Xu Chang. Looking at the ground, he was in deep thought... would he end up serving one of these... inepts? He didn't want to be a servant... he wanted to be something more.
Even still... letter, after letter, after letter had reached him speaking of this... Emperor Zhao. Kou would at least meet the man, and would play things by ear from there.
He stopped just afront the set of guards outside the palace walls. Apparently, he, himself, wasn't aware until he heard his own footsteps cease to exist.
Kou raised his head so that he could see the guards afront him. For a moment, there was silence... something Kou had a way of making... unnecessarily aggrivating, then...*
"I'm here to speak with your Lord. Search me if you must... this is all I carry to defend myself."
*Kou removed his gauntlet with his left hand, turned it away from himself, and dropped it to the ground. The metal hit the floor with a loud clank, and was now slightly dinted. Kou didn't care, however... he could always make another.
He waited patiently, though his face suggested otherwise, to be allowed entrance.*

He is taken with four me infront of him and two behind him. Each man is well armed and armoured, ready to kill with the slightest erratic movement by the guest..
He's taken to the throne room and placed a 100 paces out from the Emperor.. Imperial Rangers line the walls, the most powerful warriors in the entire Kingdom..
"Speak."

*Kou walked into the palace slowly and deliberately, looking around himself at the troops needlessly littered to protect this.. emperor.
He sighed, but bowed as a courtesy nonetheless.*
("Protect yourself... wimp.")
"I'll cut to the chase - I've been approached by one of your officers, Lord Lu Bu, who has requested that I offer my services to your forces.
Personally, I see no reason to get involved in this conflict between Lords unless given a good reason... I would be much more content creating my own army to deal with these petty armies, myself.
With that said... I want to know what your goals are... who your current enemies are, and what freedoms I would be given if I were to join you."
*Kou yawned. His helmet was still on, however, so it was shielded.*
"I think of my talents as... above average. And I would prefer to speak with those who have armies raised so as to... see whom would utilize my abilities effectively.
Judging by how quickly I met with you, I doubt you have much else to do at this time... so this should not inconvenience you, I believe."
(Sorry for the slow reply - doing a few things at once. =P)

Zhutai grinned turning to look to his left, where his highest ranking official sat, he brought his hand up as he did so, not looking at his men yet calming their anger. His head turned yet again, the crown upon it moving with him as he got up from his seat, the black cape upon his back following him, his light yellow and black robes draping around his figure as he casually swayed back and forth, still looking slightly down at the man before him, 100 paces away.. The Emperor's voice was quite harsh at most times, yet he seemed amused now, even if it was only fake..
"And so it is the job of an Emperor to inform common folk upon the plans and structure of his kingdom? I've seen crazies with more sense than you, a man who is bold enough to underestimate his surroundings, yet also a man who only thinks, and can see nothing in doing. I honor every man who walks into my court, knowing that I may be the last person he sees. Yet, at the same time any man who thinks he can be humble before me I spit at..."
"..Let me answer your questions, and possibly bring light to this. My enemies..? All that are of the country across the border. My allies? All that are willing to follow my cause into hell itself. If you will die for me, I will die for you. If you intend to join my Kingdom do so now, otherwise the next time you enter this city I will have your head upon a plaque."

*A tall man clothed in white, sitting atop a white charger, rode purposefully up the main streets of Xu Chang, heading inexorably toward the Imperial Palace. Upon reaching the palace gates, the man dismounted and addressed the guards there.*
Tell your lord that Kong Suo, descendant of Kong Fu Tzu, has arrived. He has been expecting me, I think.

The Guard nods, and then leaves for a moment, returning with a man in green armour, wielding a long, winding spear..
"Indeed, my lord knows of you warrior. However, the Emperor has no time to speak at the moment, as he prepares for war. Come, if you intend to serve this nation then you shall do it upon the battlefield, on the Ping Yuan borders..He will met us in battle soon as well, and I'm sure you two will have words."
Shibo will mount his horse and make his way toward the northern Chang An/Ping Yuan border, which cuts the Han into two pieces..
ALL Zhao officers are to report to the Northern Chang An/Ping Yuan border immediately.

It will be so.
*Turning Fu Xi about, Suo rides quickly back to his main camp.*

*Kou's bored expression slowly turned to a quiet smirk, before changing into an open mouthed laugh. This... emperor Zhao was not unlike himself.*
"Moving words... more or less.
It seems to me that you are a man with a silver tongue. Something more than necessary within a kingdmo, let alone an Empire.
I will... aid you currently, that I may observe what decisions you make when battle arises, and when there is only peace between warlords."
*Kou half bowed, then turned from the Emperor, walking from the palace... if he was not stopped.*
"I bring 500 men armed with crossbows to add to your forces. They are not high in number, nor are they exceptionally talented. But, if you are half the man I think you are... it won't matter."
