Okay... Round... 3!
Total Losses: Cheng Yuan Shu 2 Storm Troopers W Swords 16 Marines with Sword 10 Militia With Swords
Hui Can: 10 Hunters (From Crossbow Volley)
Si Wei Yan: 126 Militia Spearmen 12 Crossbowmen
Gate Strength: 94: Breaks down next turn
Although Wei Yan tried to use the Palisades to his advantage, they were not only metal, but securely fastened, due to the strength of the gate. The palisades were stuck where they were, unless they turned the crank that let them fall, which was on the ground floor. Wei Yan tried to maneauvar his men through a melee, and failed at such. The Ladders stood, the officers and the men being held back by the crack troops that held the walls. The enemy had no chance retaking them, and had a better chance at retreating back to a place they could defend.
Some of Wei Yan's militia routed, and returned to the town, where they would await their lord, knowing very well they took their lives into their own hands by doing so.
So, Wei Yan's troops took another loss. Would his officers atop the gates survive? His crossbowmen were stuck atop the gatehouse, the rest of his troops unable to save them. Zhou Tan and Xu Yu both were stuck atop the wall, at Cheng's mercy....
Wei Yan's remaining troops:
218 still fighting, the other 36 Routed to the city 28 Crossbow miltia stuck atop the gatehouse 100 Shock Troops, standing in front of the gate
Zhou Tan and Xu Yu are stuck on the walls, where they are surrounded by enemies.

[[Resignation]] Upon his main unit reaching the city he stopped, Acare trotted out behind the gate, sat there for a few moments, then turned, his army turning around, they left the battlefield to the north, the thought of Resignation in his head.

Wei Yan watched the walls crumbling and turned back to his calvary, "Move Back Behind The Barrier And Prepare for the battle!!" He called to them before dismounting. "Archers!! Fall back to atop the gate! Prepare for the enemy!" Yan demaned as he started towards the wall.
Zhou Tan and Xu Yu could see their chances of survival slowly slipping away. The only ray of hope they heard was from Wei Yan. "Brothers!! Death Is Upon Your Door!! Allow Me To Answer!!" Yan called to his friends as he began plowing over men till he was atop the gate. Tan looked at Yan for Yan reached him first, "I am suppose to save you.." Tan said regretably. Yan didn't reply he only kept cutting down men. Tan just began falling back through the path Yan was creating. Yu watched Yan's attempt but it was fading fast, as Yan was quickly being surrounded as well.
As Yan's rescue attempt was quickly fading a roar of men sounded to his relief. Yan's spearmen hadn't lost completely yet and were not going to let their commander fall. In a last attempt the men atop the wall stopped fighting according to tactic and began acting on instinct. They were barbaric in their actions, taking wounds only to slam the same amount of pain back into their enemy. The trained soldiers they were up against were soon not striking the impression they had before, fear was not apparent in Yan's men's eyes. When their weapons failed they took a hit from a blade of the swordsmen, only to steal the sword. They were possesed with determination. They weren't going to rest until Yan was safe.
Even Yan trembled at the sight of his men, but he soon shook the feeling off. With a full circle jump Yan made sure he was no longer surrounded as tightly and began cutting towards Yu again. Soon Yu was side by side with Yan. The two stood back to back long enough for Yu to batter a pathway. Tan was already at the bottom of the gate, fending off Swordsmen till Yu and Yan arrived. When the two arrived Yan looked back at his spearmen as he mounted, "Stay Or Fall Back You All Have Served Me Better Then I Could Ever Hope For!! May The Heavens Greet You With Open Arms!! Glory To The Fallen!!" He called before turning and racing back towards the gate. Yan's spearmen heard Yan's words and were only strengthened by it. None fled from the defeat they were soon to be dealt, they all held their ground and faught until their dying breath.
Wei Yan, Zhou Tan, and Xu Yu arrived back at the Shock Troop ranks and Yan looked back to his spearmen with pride, his militia had become the soldiers he wanted them to be. "Tan, go back to the gate and ready the kettles. Yu man the paliside drops and then ready then get every civilian inside. Go now!!" Yan told them before falling into the Shock Troop ranks. "Riders Of Si, We Are To Defend Against Massive Odds. We are expected to falter. You have seen mere men fight with the strength of gods, will you let their sacrifice go to waste!?" Yan called to his calvary. With risen glaive the calvary answered with a roar. "No!" they bellowed as they clanged blades with each other. Tan arrived with the archers and told them calmly, "When Cheng Nears that barricade I want to see the flames of victory rise to the heavens." Yu only looked at Tan, "I should be out there, with Yan." Tan shook his head, "No, this is our place this time. when this gate falls, we all fall." Yu sighed and moved back to his horse. Yu raced off into the town calling out to the towns folk, "Cheng is at our door!! Stay in your homes!! Prefect Wei Yan has met them and they are to be routed!!"
The crossbowmen lit their bolts and waited for the time to send Cheng up in flames.

(Nice little story. But do you really expect about 220 Spearmen to cut a path through my numerous Swordsmen? Muwhahahaha!)
*The next volley of boulders came crashing down onto the gate, breaking the final pieces that held it together. But before it struck, the 2 Battering Rams had already moved back, behind Yuan Shu's safe lines. Yuan Shu knew there was going to be some kind of trap and his Battering Rams would be too close to the gate to be saved. Hui Can on the other hand, was positioned in a safe distance. She would take care of anything that was behind that weak gate. What an easy fight, and from the roars of battle coming from the top of the walls, many were dieing. But research had been done and there was no way Wei Yan's pathetic army was going to defeat the Swordsmen.*
*And so they didn't. Desperately, Wei Yan was yelling to his surrounded officers, hoping to find them among the massive crowd of Cheng Swordsmen. But while thinking to save his officers, Wei Yan himself gets surrounded as well. There were just too many Swordsmen for him and his two henchmen to handle. A Lu Bu might have been able to, but not a person who just learned to talk like a man. And while the 218 remaining Militia Spearmen are being cut down like flowers by the Swordsmen, Zhou Tan and Xu Yu were waiting for their final seconds to end. For the Swordsmen of Cheng didn't know them and thought them to be average soldiers. And so, while being surrounded, swords come from all directions, the left, right, front, rear, front-right, front-left, rear-left and the rear-right. Only eight Swordsmen for each officer was needed. And they could in no possible way escape.*

*With an ominous creaking, the large gate toppled down, breaking apart and crumbling to little more than fire wood. Hui urged her men towards it, in an untidy semi-circle around the opening, ready to meet any resistance that came pouring out. She gazed across her assembled troops, the few that had fallen lay spreadeagle, transfixed with black bolts, whatever weapon they carried has been taken by there comrades. She sighed and knew all too well that many others would join these bodies once the day had ended.*
"Steady! I want sharp eyes and clear minds! Anything look strange or you get a 'feeling'? Tell me straight away!"
Her men could be superstitous fools sometimes, but when your raised in a steaming hell hole were a log could turn out to be a 20 foot long kille reptile, your senses were remarkably acute.

Battle Losses: Cheng: Yuan Shu: 4 Storm Troopers 10 marines 21 Militia With Swords
Hui Cuan: 2 Hunters 3 Spearmen
Wei Yan: 19 Crossbowmen 52 Spearmen - 12 of which Routed back to the city Xu Yu had been slain, and Zou Tan is still stuck upon the wall
With a mighty Roar, Wei Yan's troops indeed seemed to grow feral. However, no amount of barbarism could help them, as they were slain left and right, their weapons unfit for the task they were asked to perform. The crossbowmen on the walls let loose volleys into Hui Cuan's troops, but they were so close to the walls, that many missed.
Xu Yu was attempting to become freed by Wei Yan, who also tried to break through the Swordmen blockade Yuan Shu's troops. Wei Yan couldn't make it through the blockade, his weapon, although powerful, just wasn't fit for taking such a high amount of troops.
However, Zou Tan, in a last ditch effort, jumped from the top of the gate, trying to land in a pile of hay that was left near the gate when word that Cheng had arrived. He landed, with a sickening poofy thud, but stood up. His left ankle was sprained, but he was allright.
Xu Yu, however, wasn't so lucky. Deciding to fight it out, he was cut down, his head severed from his body, and a warrior brought it back to Yuan Shu, amidst the chaos. The man was cut down in his prime, a smart man, however, unsuited for the odds stacked against him.
Wei Yan was also repelled, and more and more of his men began routing back to the city. The crossobowmen attempted the same daring that Zou Tan dead, but a few weren't so lucky. They fled from the field, towards the city, a safe haven.
The Spearmen finally broke, and ran as well. The remaining troops of Wei Yan present at the gate were his 100 Shock Troopers, mounted with Glaive and Platemail, they would fare better against the swordsmen, but one hundred troops could only do so much.

Fei Wong approached the main force of Yuan Shu's army. He sat atop his silver horse, holding his large weapon in one hand. His long hair was fairly groomed, and his armor glistened in the sun. He was truly a sight to behold. Alas, there was not much glory to be had at the gates, but perhaps the city would see more combat. But could it really be taken? There was only one way to find out. He and his men soon reached the main force.
"Excellent job on the gates! My apologies for not arriving sooner."

Ok justin your casualties are a little bit harsh now that I look at them again. Swordsmen are good against spearmen, but not so much that they take down troops at a 9:1 ratio. >_<
Give Yuan Shu a bit more damage from Wei Yan's attack, although you're right that Cheng currently has the edge.

(Shaddap! Slick, you're forgetting I'm having a few elite Swordsmen up the gate and Wei Yan's Spearmen are charging up the stairs. My Swordsmen look down upon them and thus have the advantage of height. This can prove fatal. If you deny that, *** ******** **** ****!)

((Editted Casualties statistics... 95 was a little harsh, although somewhat fitting, when stacked against those odds. Note though, there are no more Spearmen or Crossbowmen at the Gate, only Wei Yan's cavalry... It is his turn to post there....))
